Guest guest
I have to share with you all a true story. My family and I love going out for Chinese food. The anticipated fortune cookie at the end is the best part. One at a time we open them and share what was written. Well, here we sit all having a good time and sharing. It was my Moms turn, she slipped the note out of the cookie, looked quick and suddenly she was bewildered. She looked at us all, I said Mom what's up? She looked at me and gave me the fortune. It read....pick another cookie. Has this happened to any one else? Thank you Randy, I am enjoying the fortune cooky post. Blessings, PeaceC Buck <cbaldwinbuck@...> wrote: What is up with Randy and these fortune cookies?Randy <jqpublic_59 > wrote: The greater the disease for gain, the greater the symptoms for loss. -Randy Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Isn't there a fortune cookie that says something about trying to close the barn door after the horse got out?OK guys.....please believe me that this is one of those instances where it sounds MUCH worse than it is. My apologies to Randy and anyone who may have been surprised at my email, but here is the scoop. I don't know how I managed to send it to the Group - it was part of a continuing conversation with Liane about who was posting lately and I had just mentioned that I had not seen any of Randy's poetry lately. When I realized what I had done, I tried to delete it, but... I think I will have to go post a gripe on the Ning group "Bitchin' Board" complaining about my posting savvy. In the spirit of Randy's Fortune Cookies, I will share my favorites:"No goal is to high if you climb with care and confidence". Probably the best I have seen. It is still on my fridge."You will be invited to a party where strange customs prevail." I carried this around in my wallet for years until it disentigrated, but am still waiting for the invitation.BUT........my all time favorites were a pair that my ex-wife and I received back when we were newly married. Hers said: "There is romance in your immediate future." Mine said: "You will be lucky tonight."Much Metta everyone!ChrisC Buck <cbaldwinbuck@...> wrote: What is up with Randy and these fortune cookies?Randy <jqpublic_59 > wrote: The greater the disease for gain, the greater the symptoms for loss. -Randy Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Hello Charlotte: Since you accidently clicked and sent this to the group instead of my box, I in return do the same. It was a joy speaking with you. It was very natural and effortless finding words. I am notorious for making social mistakes, the putting my foot in my mouth thing, but during our chat, I had no sunconscious fears nor worries on this. Thank you again. Stay warm and happy.
