Guest guest
Leanne, Did you see those pics in the photos section under the ruptured silicone gel folder? YOu can see how the ribs have indented from the implants. I think this happens more often than we realize, and not just from the weight of the implant, but the pressure. Guest guest
Hey Leanne- I know, it's been a couple of weeks since I've posted. The holidays were busy, but now things are starting to calm down so I should be able to post more. I'm doing pretty good. I went off my strict diet for the holidays and now I'm paying for it. I was feeling really good, now have the fatigue and achiness is back. But, starting on the 1st I am going on the really strict diet, so hopefully I start to feel better. Let's see....yes, she took out my implant en bloc with the capsule still intact. She had to make the scars slightly longer then before to get the implants out whole. I've heard that some women continue to feel ill if they don't get the capsule completely removed, but it sounds like yours might be so thin and he got most of it that you will probably be just fine...I wouldn't worry too much about it. Regarding the pocket where the implant used to sit, I can't exactly feel a pocket or anything like that, but I do have a rib that is sticking out. It's only on the left side and it is on the inside of my breast. It's kind of a pain because thats right where my bra comes together in the middle and it pushes on the rib and hurts. There are a few bras that I just can't wear. I'm hoping if I can gain some weight then I'll get some more fat and maybe even breast tissue in that area and the rib won't stick out so much. I'm thinking your pocket will probably close back up with time. I bet everything in that area looks a lot different in a year from now, so try to just be patient with your body. I wish we could compare to know if we are seeing the same thing. Maybe I'll try to have my husband take a picture and send it to you so you can see what I mean. How have you been feeling? Have you noticed if your symptoms have gotten any better? Love, Krista > > Hey stranger how are ya doing? Guest guest
Leanne, Be sure you're wearing a snug sports bra. It will help keep fluids from accumulating in the pockets and will help the internal scar tissue support you. It's pretty normal to feel down after explant when the symptoms don't suddenly go away. . . . It's likely that some of the fluids that were contained by the capsules were released into your body when your doctor removed part of the capsule before the implant. Your body will take time to process that garbage out. It's a shame your doctor didn't take your request seriously! Please keep a journal of how you feel and what you're doing. You'll make progress, but it will be hard to see on a daily basis. . . Right now, monitoring how you feel on a weekly basis may show some progress. And, regardless of how difficult it is right now, be sure to continue eating healthy. Your body needs the right materials to rebuild itself. Hugs, Rogene Re: Hi Krista I have a few questions for you > >> > Hey stranger how are ya doing? Guest guest
Leanne- Yeah, I was wondering if my ribs have always been that way too, but I am just now noticing it because of the lack of breast tissue and also the little breast that I do have is now positioned more off to the side then it was before, making my ribs more prominent and noticeable. I'm so sorry to hear that you are feeling worse. I felt worse right after my surgery too. For about the first 4 weeks right after I felt horrible and cried a lot too. But, I started feeling slightly better at about week 4. I think changing my diet and doing the round of caprylic acid really helped. Are you doing any type of detox or diet change? Are you going to try and see a Naturopath? Those things can all be helpful. Let me know if I can help with giving you ideas on where to start with detox. There are some simple things that you can do to start out that don't cost a lot. I totally understand about wanting your life back. I am in the same boat...so tired of being tired and sick all the time!! It's been almost a year for me now and I'm so ready to be back to the old Krista. We'll get there though, it just takes patience and dedication to getting there! Love, Krista > > > > > > Hey stranger how are ya doing? Guest guest
Leanne, Hopefully you will be feeling better by March . . . Right now, getting those toxins out of your body is important . . . I know you're into eating healthy, etc. . . but I forget what else you're doing. Maybe we can help you come up with some ways to get that stuff out - whether it wants to come out or not! Guest guest
Leanne- Yes, I think crying a lot is pretty common amongst all of us. PH said she cried every day for months after her explant. It is very emotionally draining to be dealing with body image plus the sickness on top of everything else. Once you start to feel better, your emotions should become more stabilized. So, with diet in detox….in my opinion (and I think most will agree) that diet is the single most important thing you can do for your body right now. Your body is already working hard to try and detox itself, so you want to be sure not to put any more chemicals and crap in your body on top of the current toxic overload. Currently, a bunch of us are on The Maker's Diet. Here is a little blurb that PH posted recently on the diet: • Phase One: Phase one lasts for fourteen days. During this phase, high-starch foods such as potatoes, beans, pasta, bread, and legumes are avoided, along with sugar and dairy products. Organic, grass-fed meats, free-range poultry, and wild fish are allowed, as are most vegetables, nuts and seeds, berries and citrus fruits, certain fats and oils, and honey as a sweetener. In addition morning and evening prayer, morning and evening exercise, vitamin supplementation, and a strict bedtime of 10:30 p.m is followed. As well, one day a week is a " partial fast day, " in which breakfast and lunch are omitted and only an evening dinner is eaten. • Phase Two: The next fourteen days continue the lifestyle makeover, reintroducing a number of foods to the diet and continuing the healthy lifestyle habits of phase one. Certain dairy products may be added to the menu, along with peanut oil, certain beans and legumes, a number of fruits, and stevia (sweet herb, a natural sugar substitute). • Phase Three: The final phase of the forty-day plan continues to build on the previous stages. Additional nuts, seeds, beans, and legumes may be added to the diet, along with additional fruits, grains, and maple syrup for sweetening. The other lifestyle changes are continued. This is a very strict diet, you can purchase the book on http://www.half.ebay.com/ for a few dollars. Or check it out online at http://www.makersdiet.com/publicsite/interstitial.aspx. My ND said it was fine for me to be on this diet. However, if this is too strict for you, I'd try first with cutting out the main food allergies that people tend to have. Even if you've never had allergies to these foods before, you may have developed them as so many others with implant illness have. Try cutting out sugars, wheat and dairy. It sounds impossible, but it's really not. Just concentrate on lots of vegetables, eggs, organic meats (beef, chicken, fish, turkey, etc.,) fruits, beans, nuts, brown rice, quinoa is a good substitute for pasta. If you can, go to a health food store and get some foods without gluten (wheat free,) they have bread and crackers that are gluten free. You can also have goat milk products, these can also be purchased at a health food store. Then, I'd do the threelac candida test. Here is the link to that: http://www.victorie-inc.us/Threelac_Candida_Free_Test.htm. This will tell you whether or not you have a yeast overgrowth. Rogene says that the majority of women who have gotten sick from implants have a yeast overgrowth problem. This can really wreak havoc on your body. If you find your do have this problem, then you need to get some caprylic acid. This can be purchased at health food stores or online and it is very affordable. You want to take 3600 milligrams for 3 weeks. This is usually 10 pills a day so you want to start off slow and space them out throughout your day. On top of that, take a probiotic which will bring good bacteria back to your body. You can get probiotics through yogurt, kefir and sauerkraut. Also, you can take a supplement to get your probiotic. I'm currently taking Saccharomycin DF, but a lot of the ladies said that Primal Defense is really good, http://www.gardenoflife.com/detail_primal_defense.shtml. Next, if you can try and purchase an ionic foot bath. We found the best price on these on ebay, here is the link, http://stores.ebay.com/ionicfootbath-mfg57. You can get one for around $200.00. Make sure you are taking a good multi-vitamin, and extra calcium and magnesium since the foot baths draw out the good minerals too. Then, you are going to detox through your skin, your bowels and your urine, so any way that you can support these 3 is really going to benefit you. For your urine, make sure you are drinking at least 100 ounces of water a day (with lemon.) For your bowels, get any fungal overgrowth under control, make sure you are " going " at least once a day, you want to be sure you are regular. If you aren't, a lot of the ladies can make suggestions for you. I recommend a good digestive enzyme….does wonders for you if you aren't regular! Colonics is also good for the bowels, many women are doing that, though I haven't jumped on that one yet! For the skin, purchase a skin brush, here the link to one I found for a few dollars, http://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?c=1 & pid=5651 & at=0. Brush your skin every day before you get in the shower. You want to brush your limbs, your mid section, your back (if you can reach,) and you want to brush towards your heart. This will help with lymphatic flow and getting dead skin cells off your skin to help with detox through the skin. Also, if you can….you want to sweat! A lot of women have purchased the far infrared saunas. I can't afford to purchase one, so I go down to the local gym and sit in the sauna….15 minutes, then break, then another 15 minutes. Bikram (hot) yoga is also really good for sweating. I think it would be really good for you to see a Naturopath (ND.) Definitely don't go back to the one you went to. You can't have a doctor treat you if they don't believe in your illness! When I was looking for an ND, I emailed mine first and let her know what my story was to get a feel of how she would react about the implants. She immediately starting doing research on what chemicals and toxins are in implants, so she would know exactly what I am dealing with. I'd say, that's a great doctor! Oh, also try and cut out chemicals and toxins from your every day life. Usually, we are able to detox these things out, but with the overload we have now, it is much more difficult. I've switched all of my cleaning products to natural. Target (do you guys have Target in Canada?) had a great line called " Method. " Try installing a shower filter to eliminate chlorine. No air fresheners, perfumes, scented candles, dry cleaning, new carpeting or furniture, fresh paint, tobacco smoke, etc. Okay, this has gotten really long. But, that gives you some ideas on where to start with detoxing. Of course, there are so many other ways to detox from liver flushes (oh, also try to get some milk thistle to take as well, this supports your liver while you are detoxing, since the toxins are filtered through the kidney) chelation, coffee enemas, fasting, etc. The other women can give you more info on those if you are interested. Let me know if you have any questions! Love, Krista > > > > > > > > > > Hey stranger how are ya doing? Guest guest
Wow, Leanne. Did Krista give you a thorough response or what?! She has it all in there! Yes, I cried every day for months because it was so hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But, the crying has been less and less over time...even though I admit I cried today because in the back of my mind I was somehow hoping that I'd wake up in 2008 miraculously healed! But, EVERYONE on the forum says it just takes time. When I feel scared or hopeless I read this post below by . She was extremely ill and was then able to write this after lots of detoxing. It cheers me up every time! Love, PH From: JOSEPH PALANCA ; Pam ; Larena ; rach679@... Mucha Sent: Monday, December 08, 2003 1:30 AM Subject: health improvement All my sisters, I was lying in bed, and had to post this message. I have been feeling steadier more well as the days come and go, for these last 6 months, that my hubby was asking when we can start trying again. As you know, or not I have a 3 and a half year old son. I told him to give me some more time. Maybe later the year of 2004....I am still recuperating , and want to cleanse more for the health of our next child, and to give my poor body a true chance at getting well. As much as my tummy tingles at babies....I have to stay focused. Starting the 1st of this new year, I am planning a 2 to 3 week juicing fast (eliminating the greens) and daily enema's along with liver flushes (Patty- I'll need you!) To clean up. But I am posting this all, because I wanted to share my happiness! I cant believe how much better I am feeling. It has been a year and 2 months since explant. I am really almost back to my old self again. Except for a small amount of totally bearable joint pain left behind, all my symptoms have slowly, by the grace of God been going away. As you all know, I was very ill, and thought there was no way I would ever feel this good. I knew God would heal me, in some ways, but never like this! For a while, I did have some new symptoms come up, and then go away after explant. And still- some hormonal issues I am balancing (wacked adrenals, hmmm...wonder why? and also some estrogen dominance) But still, all and all, I feel great! I sleep better, have a better appetite , I am finally losing weight (but still so slowly, that's ok though) have a better mood, can think straight, no more headaches, no more neck pain, no more scary muscle twitchings into the night, no more viral issues like I used to have, no more yeast infections, no more nervousness, or balance problems, or fuzzy blurry vision, I can finally look into the sunlight without putting sunglasses on, perfumes don't smell so strong, my periods are better, no more urinary track infections, no more blotchy- looks like poor circulation skin on my arms or legs, like no more terribly stiff Rheumatoid arthritis like hands, fingers and feet in the mornings, (just a little is left, but I think it will go away in time) my shoulder doesn't hurt like it sometimes did, no more crying for no reason, or feeling panicky, no more shortness of breath, or rashes on my chest, or bloating, or constipation, I feel so much more like my old self. I went over my records the other night, and I found I had over 32 apts w/ doctors for all my problems my last year with implants. WOW! This last year, I have had 6. One is with my gyne, and of the others most really not needed, as Dr Mercola likes to see you a lot in the beginning, most not a medical neccessity. I can work out with one sport bra, sleep on my stomach, have natural cleavage again, wear tight button down tops, I can be intimate again without me being uncomfortable, as they used to hurt or feel strange when touched. When I hold my son, he is closer to my heart, and feels softer to my chest. When I hug strangers, I feel warmth, not wondering thoughts if they feel these cement balls under my shirt. I can hug better! Who would have thought???? I feel softer, more beautiful, more balanced, more alert, more peaceful. I feel like, well... me! The old is finding her way back home. And I missed her. So, I just wanted to shout this out , don't ever give up hope. It may take weeks, or months, or years to feel the effects of wellness after explant, but really all of us have improved in different ways! And Thank you Lord for holding me close, and promising me a new chance of recovery and life again. Thank you Lord! And thank you group....for all your help! I feel so marvelous in my natural skin again! Love > > > > > > > > > > > > Hey stranger how are ya doing? Guest guest
I have found a wonderful cleaning product online called... Organic and Nature. I requested the MSDA sheets from their corporate office and there is nothing in them that is offensive to my chemical sensitivities. Method does use chemicals that they call "non-toxic" but are not all natural. Organic and Nature has a great bathroom cleaning product that works better then any all natural product I have tested. www.organicandnature.com ljaager <ljaager@...> wrote: > > > > > >> > > > > > Hey stranger how are ya doing? Guest guest
Leanne- You are always more then welcome to email me personally. My regular email address is schellkrista@... (that's the address, if that part doesn't show up.) And, as PH said many of us have myspace accounts and we correspond privately through there. PH and I email back and forth almost every day! It's been fun seeing what people look like and a see a peek into their personal lives. Here is the link to my page: http://www.myspace.com/kristaschell if you want to see me or if you get your own space! Try not to worry and stress too much. That is one of my biggest downfalls too, worrying about everything and thinking I have every disease and condition! It doesn't help to worry! I'm sure your PS did a great job and with time and patience you (and all all us) will be back to ourselves again. As far as the forum goes, it is totally fine to take breaks when you need to. Everyone understands and when you take breaks....you are always welcome back when you are ready! You can always just email people personally if you need to talk or need advice. Love, Krista > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hey stranger how are ya doing?
