We used a brand called Healthy Times, and occasional aveeno oatmeal packs, but eventually moved to washing every other day because after a while she got too dry. on the alternate days we just rinse her head with a wet washcloth. I've heard arbonne is really good, but haven't tried it. -christine mom to sydney/ 13 mo/ starband grad 10-06 > > My son had dry, excema-like spots on his head even before he started > his helmet therapy. Guest guest
Beth, From what I saw on the website, there was not enough information. They use very generic terms for the key ingredients (vitamins and minerals), so I couldn't tell what kind of fillers they use. That's what I look for, and of course, want the Whole Food nutrients. Alos, I hate it when companies list " Proprietary Blend " for their ingredients. That, to me, is sidestepping the information that we really need. Those terms say, " closely guarded secret " , and I, for one, want to know exactly what I am putting in my mouth. Guest guest
Hi Beth, The only thing I would be concerned about with these is that I couldn't find out what was in the vitamins specifically. You want to know the percentages of each vitamin and mineral as well as other inactive ingredients. Maybe I just missed the link but I didn't see that kind of information. And they do seem pretty expensive! Before I went to Mercola I was using Gillham's Liquid Organic Vitamins for myself and my boys. The boys still take this sometimes, but they prefer the Whole Food Veggie/Fruit Yummi Bears which I give them occasionally but cringe because it's basically candy. http://www.vitacost.com/-Gillham-Natural-Vitality-Liquid-Organic- Life-Vitamins Love, PH > > ok - I may way off here but I have a friend who sells Arbonne products > and they have a line of multivitamins. Guest guest
Beth, I have not tried the Arbonne vitamins but have tried the skincare (a friend was a rep). The skincare is really nice, but is also very expensive. I don't know if you know this, but Arbonne is a network marketing company. That means they do most of their selling through people who are representatives and have parties, etc (like Tupperware). My husband has a line of software that he sells to these companies, so he has worked with them for many years. We've gotten to see the behind the scenes of network mktng companies and it ain't pretty. He has not worked with Arbonne specifically, though. We just know that the majority of these companies have very overpriced products b/c of the way they are set up. There are so many " middle men " to pay, so the prices are usually high in order to pay all of them. Arbonne seems to have good quality products, but I don't know that their vitamins would be worth more than a good whole food vitamin that you could get. I've been using Nature's Way Alive multivitamins. They're good, but I just realized they do contain silicon dioxide, which I've decided to stay away from. I'm going to be switching to Standard Process. I take some of their other supplements and their line of products is incredible. If you do a search on this site you'll find some posts about them and links where you can find more info. If you don't want to go that route, Garden of Life, Megafood and New Chapter are also good brands. www.vitacost.com carries all of these and has really great prices and $5 shipping for all orders. ~April

Guest guest
I went to an Arbonne party last year, the repesentative (a nursing student)was shock to see that her "all natural" products were not. After asking her loads of questions about the ingrediants, she couldn't answer, she eventually found a book that listed the ingrediants to all the products they sell. Most of the lotions and beauty products contained chemicals that are made right in a lab and very toxic, the same stuff you can find in over-the counter stuff, silicone being one of them. I personally would not purchase from any company that convices it's sales reperesentative that they are standing behind a healthy product, when they are not. Please be aware of what your own standards are and research every ingrediant listed on every bottle you purchase. My standards are very strict, only all natural. Even if a company promises to be non-toxic, doesn't mean it is.tommygirl18_1981 <tommygirl18_1981@...> wrote: ok - I may way off here but I have a friend who sells Arbonne products and they have a line of multivitamins. Guest guest
thanks for the information. I think I will steer clear of this line. However, at the present time I use over the counter make-up. Although I do not wear ablot of makeup, I always wear some powder and eye shower, liner ect. Any good products out there???? Re: Arbonne I went to an Arbonne party last year, the repesentative (a nursing student)was shock to see that her "all natural" products were not. Even if a company promises to be non-toxic, doesn't mean it is.tommygirl18_ 1981 <tommygirl18_ 1981 (DOT) com> wrote: ok - I may way off here but I have a friend who sells Arbonne products and they have a line of multivitamins.
