Truth in advertising...? since when...?

Today I was watching the tube and on the news

was a flick about Lipo something a drug to loose

weight, anyway, the product costs 81 a month, and

they did some research to find out who makes it

and distributes it, and then they showed a photo of

a house in california and said that the people that lived

in that house is responsible for it. Then they went into

great detail about how the FTC ( federal trade commission)

requires, yes, R E Q U I R E S ......that advertisements

be honest....and completely accurate, backed up with real

true science ! ! and only truth in advertising be allowed ! !

Since when did the FTC stand up for truth ? ? ? ? ?

if they did, the FDA would be out of business, along

with all the drug companies and many physicians........

and the list goes on.........and on........and on.......
