Hi Ph,

Yes I am from England.

Well I may have double whammy my dad is

English my mum was Irish so I guess that puts me firmly in the firing line.

I think that is going to be my next test

Gluten intolerance.

When I say crisps I think it means chips,

over here chips are what you call fries??? VERY CONFUSING.

I DID ALSO HAVE A SLICE OF FLAN…..

that is fruit segments, jelly and flan case kind of a cake base…I really shouldn’t

have and wont be having anything like that again.

I have no idea what I am going to be able

to eat if I am gluten intolerant, I cannot eat any dairy as it is.

Ohh well lets see what happens

Thanks PH

Love Sue

Hi Sue,

I'm wondering if you might be celiac or gluten sensitive? The fact

that you think you had a reaction to the crisps (are those chips or

crackers?), yet feel almost normal for 4 days, could be a sign. I'm

gluten sensitive and one of the forums I used to read described the

exact same dizzy reaction for some people when gluten was ingested.

Even just a crumb could produce dizziness, brain fog, headaches. If

you are English, Irish or of Scandanavian descent, you are even more

likely to be gluten intolerant. Aren't you the one from England?

I'm not saying this is what's going on, but it might be worth

checking into. Love, PH

Sue,

There are multiple online support groups for Celic disease . . . One of my friends is webmaster for the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter. They can help you find plenty of foods you can eat - by brand name too. . . You likely have different brands in England . . . but they probably have support groups there too.

Here's the link for the DFW group: http://www.dfwceliac.org/

My friend carries a microwave and small refrigerator with her when they travel . . . She quizes the wait staff and/or the cook when she eats out. . .

It took them YEARS to diagnose her! . . . She thought she was dying before they got there . . . And she's a NURSE!

She doesn't have a problem finding plenty to eat . . . On the other hand, the diet can be quite expensive! She has a son living with her who is a Celiac too . . . He has a bottomless pit for a stomach!

Love,

Rogene
