Guest guest
I used a bic razor for many years but in the past year I have changed to an norelco electric. I have used many different electrics and my favorite is the norelco. It is much less irritating to the face. They have two kinds, one that squirts out its own moisturizer to keep the shave smooth and another without moisturizer. I use the one without and use neutrogena oil free moisturizer as my shaving cream. Not only does it help with my rosacea but it also has made my face and facial hair softer. The only problem with it is that it takes about a month to get used to. In the beginning many people get irritated from it until your skin get used to it. (usually 2-4 weeks). michael shee > Gentleman out there with cea.... > > what do you all do about shaving? What do you shave with? > > Regular Razor or Electric? Guest guest
Hello Chris Like all these things it can be a matter of trial and error. I use the Gillette Mach3 wet razor and Clinique M aloe shave gel. I wash first with Clinique extra mild soap plus loads of warm water to prepare the beard area. I finish up with pure Aloe vera gel as an after shave preparation. This works very well for me. I find the important thing is to change to a new blade every 3 or 4 shaves. I tried electric shaving with a Panasonic wet/dry razor but found it took too long and I didn't get a very close shave. Perhaps I should have persevered but I prefer wet shaving. Hope this helps cea and Shaving > Gentleman out there with cea.... > > what do you all do about shaving? What do you shave with? > > Regular Razor or Electric? Guest guest
Dito. I would only like to add, always shave in line with the beard. Very important. If I shave otherwise and the beard goes deep into the skin I get big and painful bumps. Moreover: Don't shave in a hurry and get used to a new image of not so closely shaved.
