Okay silly Yacks here is Doreen's sure fire way to get pregnant assuming no

physical probs.

As soon as your period ends, starting having sex every OTHER day for at

least two weeks, longer if you can still stand each other.

Your Man needs a day to repose and make new healthy sperm so don't deplete

him.

Sperm live for up to three days so that should have you covered.

Lay low on alcohol and caffiene [ both of you ] and have fun.

You are right that not everyone ovulates at the same time, but it's

only 1 maybe 2 days a month. It should be somewhere between the

11th and 17th days of your cycle. So, you should count from day 1

of your cycle and start baby making on the 8th day and and every

other until the 14th or 16th day because everyone's cycle are

different lengths also. You are also supposed to lay flat on your

back for 1/2 hour afterward so the little guys can swim upstream

since they only swim in one direction. Good luck and happy baby

Hi Doreen - I didn't catch the start of this conversation, but I

have to add this. We had trouble conceiving our second child and

ended up at a fertility doc who figured out I had endometriosis. He

removed it and told us this - Use an ovulation predicter kit. When

it tests positive, have intercouse that evening and the next

morning. He said intercourse at any other time was just extra

bonding. We managed only one of those two times and got

pregnant. It's not as much fun as your method, but it worked like a

charm.

Doreen, Here is a page I found with links to natural family planning sites. The great thing about natural family planning is that it is free (no need to buy those ovulation predictor kits) and completely and easily reversable. If you understand you bodies fertility signs, you'll know when you are ovulating. You can probably learn a lot by reading, but if you want to use the method to post-pone pregnancy I would highly recommend you take a class. Couple to Couple League offers classes. I don't know if I buy the 3 more unplanned...unless a counselor looked at their charts and shook there head wondering how it happened. In other words usually its due to user error....and most people who make the error do so because at the moment the they are willing to take the risk. It is difficult for some couples to follow, but the method has as high a success rate as the birth control pill. And I'm not touting it as the moral thing to do because of religious reasons.
