On a similar note, there's a class in Margate [near Burlington Coat

Factory] for older teens, young adults. My daughter has been attending a

special needs class at Rockette Dance Academy for years, the other

classmates having started 10, 15 years ago. The staff is awesome and

incredibly supportive. They love our kids. The class size has dwindled,

but they still run it because the girls have been involved so long. They

have NT buddies and visit the other classes. It works well as it is, but

would also be great if more students were involved, so if anyone has an

age appropriate individual, please contact them - . Or, if

you have younger kids, perhaps they would be willing to start a younger

class if enough signed up.

Have to add a comment about the other parents at the school. Parents

stop us to say hello out in the community. When my daughter finally

participated in the June recital, I couldn't believe how many parents

came over to say how thrilled they and their daughters were to see her

dance [she had been confined to a wheelchair and walker for a few

years]. We know our kids make a positive impact when involved in the

community, but it's great to find such a warm, caring " family, " as I

would think a lot of dance schools are.
