Guest guest
I dont like any chemicals that alter hormones they screw up your entire endocrin system and are cause for many problems. I worked in ON/GYN for 6 1/2 years, and think of chemical hormones as poisen.... ck this out: I just copied a couple down there... depo-provera: Side effects, ratings, and patient comments I am posting for my wife. She has been on depo. Within the past week she has been diagnosed with kidney failure as a result of the depo shot. It is not worth it. Depo is a terrible drug. I have been on it for 6 years. I just recently came off in the last 2 weeks. I have had no period which is great, but I never knew all my other medical issues were because of depo. I have liver, kidney and constant migraines. I have level 1 displasia, which is a cervical cancer cursor. Severe, severe migraines, moddy, loss of sex drive, IBS, constant nausea. All of which I have had for years and my doctor has never said anything. Until the last couple of weeks that I have been researching this, I never knew if haults fertility and could even make you pre-menapausal. Please, please do not take this drug. I hate Depo-provera. This is a horrible drug, so not worth taking. I am so down since getting my shot. I got the shot last month september third, for the third time through the course of my life. This time was the worst, I am always tired, but when it comes time to go to bed I cant sleep, I am always dizzy and faint, I am down, feel like I fell in a dark hole that I cant climb out of, I cant cheer up. My doctor did not fill me in on the serious side effects until a year later when I started to question things and he straight out came clean with me and admitted it's all due to the depo injection. I can no longer take any birth control pills due to a blood disorder and this seemed to be the safe way out for the time being. I am no longer taking the injections and now worried about long term side effects. It does seem to be a very convenient form of birth control but its risks are panning out to be more serious and I do not recommend the depo injection to anyone http://www.adrugrecall.com/news/depo-provera-lawsuit.html Pfizer Faces Major Class Action Lawsuit Over Depo-Provera Dangers December 28, 2005 A $700 million class action lawsuit has been filed against pharmaceutical company Pfizer on behalf of women who have been using the contraceptive method Depo-Provera and have developed osteoporosis. Filed in Toronto by women representing the age group of 28 to 32, the allegations claim that long-term users of the Depo-Provera injection have been diagnosed with serious bone density problems including but not limited to osteoporosis, fractures, brittle teeth, spine injuries, and hip injuries. The Depo-Provera lawsuit also alleges that Pfizer failed to forewarn doctors and patients of the serious bone density risks associated with long-term use of the drug and had originally promoted the injection as a safe contraceptive method for long-term use. Prior to studies performed in 2004, warnings for the drug consisted of less severe side effects such as weight gain, irregular bleeding, headaches and bloating. It wasn't until 2004, that Pfizer warned American and Canadian officials of the serious threat of bone density loss associated with Depo-Provera, advising that the drug should not be used as a long-term contraceptive method. The initial appeal of the Depo-Provera injection was its easy approach to a nearly 99 percent effective method of birth control. Depo-Provera users are given an injection every three months that will remain effective for the following thirteen weeks without maintenance. However, women using this method as a long-term approach to birth control have shown to have irreversible and serious bone density loss. A prosecuting attorney in the Depo-Provera lawsuit states, in regard to the plaintiffs, "They are all too young to be developing osteoporosis." Pfizer issued a statement saying that they are prepared to vigorously defend the lawsuit, emphasizing that Depo-Provera is an important option for women and is used safely by millions around the world. Guest guest
My goodness, I am so sorry to hear she is so closed minded.......Bless her heart.......I hope she decided to listen to what she reads......If she opens that first link that I copied the comments from, she will read that people when they go off the depo, loose the weight fairly easily.......... much better than the knife ! ! and all the side effects.......of gastric bypass or lap band Start the year off right. Guest guest
I had no idea the side effects were so severe but i figured it couldnt be safe. Unfortunelty she is one of those people no matter what you tell or show her she is always right but i am going to send her the material you provided anyway. Since she has started this birth control she has gained 85lbs and barely leaves her house, maybe a couple times a week, and is now considering gastric bypass becaue she can not figure out why she cant loose the weight. I think the reasons are obvious but she wont even consider it so it makes it very frustrating on my end because she wont even listen to me. She is having dangerous surgery all because she wont admit that it is all related to this shot. > > I dont like any chemicals that alter hormones > they screw up your entire endocrin system and > are cause for many problems. Guest guest
absolutely. I knew for a good few months what was going on but i just chose to ignore it and blame my tiredness and constant colds on being run down from working and my 3 year old although i never had the problems before. Once i started having the panic attacks and found this site there was no denying what was really going on. > > Very true, and very well put.
