Guest guest
Sue, It should be. Licorice should be used by those who have low cortisol levels. Licorice will help to maintain the cortisol levels on an even keel, and should be taken in the morning and afternoon, when the cortisol levels are highest. Here is a link: http://www.femhealth.com/licoriceroot.html Compounds derived from licorice root have been shown to help fight adrenal fatigue, inflammation, viruses, ulcers and even cancer, according to researchers. Licorice Root helps to reduce the amount of hydrocortisone broken down by the liver, thereby reducing the workload of the adrenal glands. Licorice was prescribed for 's disease until the 1930s. It is an anti-stress herb known to increase energy, endurance and vitality. It can naturally fortify cortisone levels - the most important hormone in stress and adrenal fatigue. > > Hi all I have just bought some organic Egyptian Ayurvedic licorice tea. > > It does not have any added sugar, is this ok for adrenal support? > > Sue >
