Guest guest
Hi PH! Sorry for the delay in responding. According to the single test I could find in my records that tested my testosterone levels, I was in the normal range. But here's what I find odd....every single test I've had for the sex hormones all show normal range, but I can tell you without a doubt that if I don't take my triple estrogen cream and progesterone cream, I CAN TELL. And it isn't a pretty picture! My brain function gets really sluggish right away if I miss a dose. My naturopath put me on DHEA initially when I was first sick. So, I've been on that as well as pregnenolone, progesterone cream, and most recently the triple estrogen cream. Also, Isocort for the adrenals. All at different times and also the same times. It all gets so scrambled up...I can't tell you if any single thing worked, but I do know that my hormones need help! The book you are thinking of that I have referred to is Feeling Fat, Fuzzy or Frazzled by Dr. Shames. It's actually a very good book about the hormones, but I would also read it in conjunction with books by Dr. Vliet and Dr. Uzzi Reiss on natural hormone therapy. These hormones get so difficult to balance....I hate the idea of going through menopause and needing them to feel well, but at this point, I am thankful that they are even an option. I'd hate to think there was NOTHING I could do. Hang in there and let me know how you are doing! Hugs, Patty > > Hi Patty, > > Did you have low testosterone?
