I tried regular cherries because I couldn't find sour ones and I'm trying to remember if they made a difference. I don't have any pain, just stiffness. I think ginger snap cookies were mentioned too for upset stomach. I love them anyway. I also tried honey and wine vinegar for ages - which also didn't do any good. I'm not sure whether I'm a mug or what, but if someone says a particular foodstuff or whatever will ease or help my arthritis, I try it!! The worse my RA gets the more disilusioned I become (how come I still try these things!). Guest guest Posted November 14, 2006 Report Share Posted November 14, 2006 UTI stands for urinary tract infection, that includes: Kidney's, ureter's (tubes that allow urine to flow from kidneys to bladder) and bladder and exit channels to outside of body. So. . . yes. I believe dmso is contraindicated in kidney disease, which has a name, which I can't remember how to spell right now. Phenylketosis, or something like that. So you need to have confidence that you don't have kidney disease. Other than that it is less toxic than water. Needs to be handled carefully as it does carry poisons in to the system if it contacts them. So clean, lotion free, soap free hands, etc. It pays to read up on proper handling and usage. In fact, I just bought 3 bottles of it for about $15.75 each today and each bottle will give about 85 days of treatment; pretty cheap, pretty wonderful. Now, it works primarily on e. Coli but that's most of the Bacteria we have when we have a UTI. The article that Don posted a few days ago, has all kinds of great information about oxidants etc. Even then, I would prefer to talk with someone that is very well educated about any of these.That's not to say that treatment with a horrible cancer drug, is the only way to go.
