Guest guest
Amy, Ouch, that is so pricey. You can almost have the explant and everything for that. Check our list of doctors and see if you can find one in your area who does the procedure properly. Guest guest
Hi Amy, I had an explant 2 years ago, without replacing the implants. I don't look much different than I looked before implants. The scars are in the crease so you can't see them. It seems that alot of people are given the same line from plastic surgeons - it's kind of interesting how they don't say anything about deformities when you're looking into getting implants in the first place. Funny how the doctor didn't say that for the next 50 years you'll need multiple surgeries to replace those implants. They're pushing those new silicone implants, and if you're already experiencing health problems because of the implants you have, your body will probably do even worse after replacement with silicone. Guest guest
I searched the internet for pictures last night until after midnight. And, because of my health problems from the SALINE implants (So not safe)! I decided DEFINITELY NO to the silicone implants. My husband said he would love me no matter what I end up looking like and that helped. I was a 32a/b before implants and am afraid of the scar showing because I won't having much to cover it. But, it's the price I will have to pay. The ps yesterday also said that I would have to get another surgery in 7 - 10 years to replace the silicone implants if I had decided to go that route. Being under anasthesia (sp) as I grow older doesn't seem like a very safe decision. Thanks for your email! Take care! Guest guest
Hi Amy, I was told the same things buy multiple doctors that i would look deformed if i did not get replacements. The doctor i am having do my explant never even asked me to consider having them replaced and didn't seem at all concerned about how they would look which tells me she is very qualified to do this. i am worried about what will look like, just as you are. Even though i am happily married i was concerned about how my husband would react after having big " perfect " breasts. All he said was if doing this will give him back his wife then he could care less which made me realize that i am stressing way too much over something that apparently is not even an issue to him along with the fact that i have been so caught up in my own aches and pains that i never realized that it was effecting or obvious to my family. I think rather then worrying about little scars or drooping we should just be thankful that we have the resources available to get our health back as well as wonderful husbands that are supportive no matter what. Im sure everything will be fine whatever you decide to do. These implants really knocked me down but they also put a lot of things into perspective. > > > > > > I went to the ps that my insurance covers and he said that if I > > > didn't get implants put back in that I would be deformed. Guest guest
Thanks Patti. It is really wierd but i have not even met Dr Fang yet but have complete trust in her just from speaking to her staff and what you women have had to say about her. Im am not very trusting of doctors at all anymore so this is huge for me The one benefit i do have on my side is that i cant possibly look any worse then what i orginally went in with pre implant. (i probably shouldnt say that though until after the surgery)...lol > > > > > > > > I went to the ps that my insurance covers and he said that if I > > > > didn't get implants put back in that I would be deformed.
Guest guest
Hi Amy- My incision was on the under side of my breasts (she used the same incisions as when the implants were put in.) I've heard that some go through the nipple and are happy with the results. PH could give you some insight on that, hers were taken out through the nipple. Good luck with your surgeon search! So glad you found us! ~Krista > > > > I went to the ps that my insurance covers and he said that if I > > didn't get implants put back in that I would be deformed. Guest guest
I found a doctor - believe it or not, the same one that put them in. How crazy is that! When I saw him last year he didn't take insurance - he does now and takes mine - go figure! God helps out in round about ways sometimes! Take care! Guest guest
Amy, Please make sure he will take them out correctly first. But I hope it works out for you! Nornally we strongly caution against using the same doctor that implanted them, as they don't take the need for a proper explant seriously. Make sure you discuss your needs for a proper explant thoroughly. Guest guest
Thank you Patty. Point well taken. My options are still open if I feel any inner bell going off in my head when I talk to him about it next week. I have, so far, only spoken with his nurse over the phone to ask about the way he does his explant procedure. He may not be the one - we'll see. I want these things out today, but will wait a few weeks if I have to in order to find the best doctor for the job. I'll let you know! Thanks for your support!
