Guest guest
Dearest : Your story sounds just like the other women in this group. We are all so sorry that you must go through this and we will help you all that we can. Did you have silicone breast implants before you had the saline? Saline implants can cause the same symptoms as silicone. I had silicone, and my symptoms are like yours. Welcome to this loving group of women. Honey, we will help you, and give you love and support. Please ask any questions that might be bothering you, and we will answer. Sending love to you........Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ New...looking for any guidance/knowledge! My first post and looking for any suggestions or guidance. I am a 32 year old who had her frist child one year ago. 11 Years agoI had corrective impant surgery. My breasts were unbalanced and I hadone breast reduced and another implanted to even them up. Since that time life has been good. A few years after surgery I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, family history never thought much of it. Since the birth of my son however I have become very sympotomatic and have finally begun researching and feel that most of my symptoms are consisitent with the many blogs I have read about saline implant complications. I have a very unstable thyroid, joint/body aches, numbing in my left arm and fingers(implant side), heart palpatations, swelling in hands and feet, very high C reactive Protein level which several doctors have explained is consistent with inflammtion/infection, fatigue, severe cystic acne, weight gain, new food allergies, the list goes on and on.I have been in contact with Dr. Kolb and she seems to think all my symptoms are consistent with saline implant complications due to the age of the implant but also from pregnancy/lactation after birth. She recomended an eye acuity sensitivity test on line that I failed (my husband passed) and having a blood test for alpha MSH. Those blood tests are pending.Could anyone share with me there symptoms, and knowledge of ways to test to confirm biotoxins before I jump into having surgery. I anticipate having to travel to have a consultation and surgery however would like to do as much foot work and testing in my hometown so I can go prepared. Thanks,

Guest guest
Thank you all for support, guidance and insight. WOW! All I can say is I am overwhelmed with information and astounded that I did not figure this out sooner. I know what I need to do and anticipate traveling for a consultation very soon. I am awaiting blood tests and my original surgical record so I can meet with a surgeon with all the necessary information. I feel very blessed to have figured this out when I did, although I am very symptomatic and getting worse I am still functioning, working full time, a mom to a one year old and maintaining a great life, although many times it is a struggle. My husband has been wonderful and supportive but as you all have suggested it takes a toll on the entire family and I certainly think that has been apparent in my attitude. I know I am highly agitated and am not sure if that is a symptom or a response to not feeling well. What I am coming to learn is that I have not been feeling well for a very long time, am not sure what it feels like to feel well and have learned to think this is a normal way to feel. I am both anxious about the thought of going through another surgery and excited that this may be the solution to my problems. Another question I had for the group is whether this has impacted their weight. As I have begun to put a lot of the pieces together I have realized that although I have never been petite by any means my significant weight gains have been post implant. Just a thought, Dr. Kolb seemed to think that was triggered my leptin levels, so that is one of my pending blood tests. Anyway, this post was meant as a thank you for all I am learning from you all. I am grateful. Although I do not post alot, given time constraints, I do read all that you say and take in so much of it. Thank you and I wish you all well, ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Never miss a thing. Guest guest
HI , I am happy you found us and are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel, at least as far as knowing what steps to take now to get your health back. Once you are explanted, you are going to be doing so much better and your family is going to be relieved to have their mom and wife getting better. Weight gain is certainly an issue for many women after getting implants. It can be related to thyroid issues, which are rampant amongst implanted women, and also adrenal issues as your body starts pouring out the cortisol as it mounts an attack against the foreign invader that goes on for months and months until the adrenals just finally get exhausted from all that work. YOu're in a great place with this support group! We've seen many women get their life back...it takes time though! Patty > > Thank you all for support, guidance and insight.
