Guest guest
I went to the ps that my insurance covers and he said that if I didn't get implants put back in that I would be deformed. I've read on this site that it is not true. Let me ask some questions and maybe some of you can answer. I was the one in the hospital for 6 days last month because I had an accident and fell, chest first and had a major hematoma under my implants. Since then, I have recovered, somehwat, but insurance will pay 100% for explant and capsulectomy. The doctor I was said that if I only got that done that I would have a deformity that I would have to live with for the next forty to fifty years. He suggested that I have new implants put back in and suggested that I join the BIFS (Breast Implant Follow-up Studies) and that I get the silicone implants this time. I shudder. He priced out having the (mastheplexy?????sp) to reshape the breast and it was MORE expensive than having new silicone implants put in. I can't afford to pay alot and can't get a loan (because we had to go bankrupt two years ago due to the amount of health/hospital/surgery related problems over the past few years. Please give me some advice - have any of you had the capsulectomy and explant ONLY? What did your breasts look like afterwards. Does anyone have pictures they can attach? The PS said that it would look like I had flat udders hanging there and that my nipples would probably touch my chest. That mental picture quite tempts one to want implants again - how horrifying!!! Too bad I can't use Dr. Melmed - he doesn't take insurance. Please help!
