Guest guest
Darling Lynda: When I read your note this morning, it made me sad. We know that you are a strong lady; however, this is a time when you will need support. Please reach out to the people who will keep your spirits high. I know that having major organs involved is frightening, but we know that you will beat this. I read one of your older notes, and you were complaining about being tired...and you are not one to complain. Honey, please get plenty of rest, because it will help you to deal with everything that you must do to get well. We will all help you, and our prayers and support will be with you each day. Sending love and hope....Lea and ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` cancer Ok, I now know I have adenocarcinoma. Don't have the exact type yet. They only have preliminary results. Lung and liver is all I know so far, don't know how bad, but bottom portion of right lung. RSD is getting worse already. They don't know if I can do hyperbarics with chemo. Can deep sea divers continue to do that when they have lung cancer? I will have to find out.I will have to have the fluid drained from my pleural cavity again. Probably within 2-4 weeks. Yuck! Last time was 1.3 liters of fluid. Back still hurts. Still coughing sometimes from the lung expanding again. The cold air almost did me in today and yesterday. Hurts to cough.Friday I do a PET scan of the chest and abdomen, Sat. I do an MRI of the brain. Tuesday P.M. my oncologist is back from his trip and the test results will all be in.Chemo will probably start before the end of the month. Don't know exact type yet. Will know a lot more Tues. late afternoon. Don't see him until 4:45 P.M. and probably won't be home until after 7 P.M.Sounds like I have a busy schedule coming up. Continue those prayers, please.Lynda
Guest guest
Lea, I have been tired since I had that stomach flu late Sept. Probably needed a chest x-ray right then, but who would have thought????? Rest is hard to get, I am not sleeping well. I try to keep positive people around me. I also have a great oncologist. I do have to drive 60 miles one way for treatment. I could do it here, but I trust the Boulder docs a lot more than the ones in Greeley. Lost two friends here recently who were being treated here. They have a new very progressive treatment center in Boulder, which combines many types of therapy. I will do my best to take care of myself. You do the same. Love you, Lynda At 08:19 AM 1/17/2008, you wrote: >Darling Lynda: > >When I read your note this morning, it made me sad. Guest guest
Lynda, I'm happy to hear you have a good cancer treatment center! . . . That makes all the difference! I know you'll do whatever it takes to get better! . . . Silva Mind Control has some meditation exercises designed to prevent/fight cancer. . . . Basically you put yourself in a very relaxed state . . . see, hear, feel yourself as a healthy person . . . mentally move all disease out of your body and replace all disease with healthy tissue . . . You might want to record your own meditation program . . . It can help with sleep too! - I know you're desperate for sleep when YOU take a pill! Love and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
Rogene, And the pill did not work. It was Ambien. Woke up after 4 hours just like the three nights before, but this time I was wide awake. Worse than taking nothing. Need sleepytime tea tonight. But, I am getting so tired, I will probably sleep. I have to drive to Boulder tomorrow for the PET scan. No food after 7:30 A.M. Won't get to eat until about 3:30 P.M. I get shaky without food. But, I have lost 12 pounds because I just cannot eat very much anymore. I did the same kind of basic psychological exercises when I had breast cancer. When I once get this scheduled and I know the score, I think I can make a plan. I have tapes and everything, just have to get where I know what is happening so I can de-stress. I had some trouble with sleep when I did chemo before. Hope that is not the case this time. It is a good place, that is why I am driving there. I feel far more comfortable going there than I would going here. Going to bed. I will be home in the morning, then head for Boulder. Hope the snow holds off until I get home. Thanks for the support and prayers. I think I need them. Guest guest
Rogene, From what I can find online, my cancer is treatable (not cureable), will give me a better quality of life, etc., but the life expectancy is about 2 years. Now I don't think I like that. I will have some tough questions for the doctor on Tues. Lynda At 10:36 PM 1/17/2008, you wrote: >Rogene, > >And the pill did not work. It was Ambien. Guest guest
Lynda, If what you're reading is the opinion of conventional medicine, you know we've found them to be wrong more often than right when it comes to treating us! . . . Maybe if they paid more attention to nutrition and detoxing, their record would be better! I know you're going to do everything possible to beat this thing! You CAN do it! Hugs and prayers, Rogene
