Guest guest
Lynn, I am sorry that you are having this problem. There are times when I feel like my body is on fire, but the worst symptom is the burnig tongue. My face burns violently, and it has a lupus rash...even though my rheumatologist tell me that it is only on my face, and that I do not have lupus. I have been diagnosed with lupus by other specialists! A friend wrote to me today, and told me she has a friend who has this burning sensation down the front of her chest. She asked Dr. Shanklin about the burning tongue and he told her that is Silica in the nerves of the mouth. Honey, could you be allergic to something? I hope that you see a doctor about this. Stay close...love you.......Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~````````````` Skin Pain Okay, new symptoms... great. It started with a burning type sensation under my skin on the back of my left thigh. There is no red on my skin or any rash, just feels like my skin is burning. This lasted for about 1 day. Now today, the leg is better but it has moved up to my back - around where my bra strap is. It sort of hurts to wear clothes (boy that sounds silly). It hurt to lean back in my chair because my shirt was pressing on it. I sound like a wacko. No redness, no rash - just a burning sensation. Has anybody experienced this? If yes, any advice? Guest guest
Thank you for this Cathie, I love ginger, and it might help my burning tongue. Do you have a burning tongue? Love to you........Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~````` Re: Skin Pain I would suspect it is the peripheral neuropathy so many of us have. I recently found something that seems to help, other than the pain medication, Prednisone and other stuff I take. This is powdered ginger (not the kind mixed with salt, just plain ginger), probably a little over 1/4 cup sprinkled in very warm bath water, then soak. Could be my imagination, but I don't think so. Ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory and since I have inflammation, perhaps enough is absorbed through the skin to dull the burning... You can get large amounts of powdered ginger at Chinese or VietNamese stores in the spice section. Large bottles in my area (Dallas) are $.99. I can get 4 baths out of each 3.5 oz bottle... My bottle is labeled Bot Gung and the ginger is from Viet Nam.CathieYou will definitely have to clean your tub out. I keep a bath brush handy for this. Guest guest
Hi Lea, I have missed you. Ouch, that sounds just horrible. I hope mine is migrating up to my tounge and face?? It could be, it has went from my thigh to my back in one day. Hum, you know Jon was putting down this horrible smelly adhesive to adhere metal to a wood work bench in our basement and I could smell it up stairs. The pain started soon after or that next day!! Could that be it? I also had a rough weekend with my mother. We got in to a horrible fight and I cried like a big baby. I cried so hard I couldn't even sleep well because my nose was stuffed up. I was thinking this stress was not good. I am sure you can relate. Love you, Lynn > > Lynn, I am sorry that you are having this problem. Guest guest
That sounds like Reynaud's. Have you looked into that? I think it can go away as you get better. Don't stress over new symptoms. I had new ones as I was healing too, but they all disappeared in time. Guest guest
Lynn, I'm so sorry to hear of your fight! Gosh, that must be difficult. I've never gotten into a fight with my mother, but my mother is a saint of saints, and I just couldn't imagine the hurt. I hope you can work through it and feel better. It sounds to me like you could have been reacting to that adhesive. I wouldn't be surprised at all. Is there any way you can air it out? I have a book I can send you called " Immune Dysfunction " by Judith . She worked with artists paints and chemicals and she became really sick from them. She lost almost everything. Very sad, but she got better, so you might find it encouraging. Let me know if you want me to send it to you. No, stress is never good. Please don't let this get to you. Let God be your peace...He is there. HUgs, Patty > > > > Lynn, I am sorry that you are having this problem. Guest guest
Lynn- The new symptom might be a combination of both the adhesive (allergic reaction) and the fight with your Mom. I've developed weird sensitivities to stuff since the explant. Even hairspray gives me a reaction now! I get weird rashes on my arms and legs too. They go away after a few days. I know PH has had the weird skin burning, so it's not uncommon. What is it with Moms right now? I got in a fight with mine too. Moms have a way of getting to us don't thing? Hang in there my friend. Like PH always says...this too shall pass. Love, Krista > > > > Lynn, I am sorry that you are having this problem. Guest guest
Lynn ~ God Bless Your Sweet Self ! ! ! Your mom sounds like an adult child. It would be so nice if we could get into peoples heads and hearts and hear the truth despite what they say. It has to be difficult on you to hold composure out in public when she is acting out. God Bless YOU. You have worked hard in life to have the position you hold in your work. I am so proud of you, and you should be too. Guilt is something that God does not want us to have, it is like jealousy, judging and greed, so, please let your confidence in your hard work shine bright, and snub out the guilt feelings. I know things she says and does bothers you, hurts you, and gets on your last nerve. You arent responsible for her or what she says or does. Just pray for her, and limit your time around her when she is acting out and you are having negative feelings from it. This pain can make you sick, especially since you take ownership in her behavior and feel guilty. Big warm hugs and God Bless YOU ~ I love ya sweetie ! Dede Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.

Guest guest
I agree also. I forgot I did what was called DETOX MASSAGE. It made me sick for 2 weeks. Make sure you drink plenty of water with those massages. In a message dated 1/18/2008 11:19:12 A.M. Eastern Standard Time, saxony01@... writes: I agree! . . .
