Guest guest
Folks, please pardon my expression, but i'm going to get a lil rude here. What in the heck is this? KEL, I think some of us are getting somewhat exasperated with your 'usage' of the list. There is a difference of how we utilize the list and maybe how you use it. For one, this is a support group for people of short stature and their families. I don't intend on shunning people like you - we welcome avg. sized ppl to learn about us, but your recent posts have been extremely odd in nature - as well as how you conduct in the #dwarfism chat room. (In reference to how you think that everyone in #dwarfism ignores you since no one talks to you... that's b/c no one knows you) We don't understand your intentions for being in this community. I do feel for you, if a support group is what you need. However, this one is probably not appropriate for what you're looking for. There are many, many lists on the 'net you can find that you may relate to better. Thirdly, if you are a subscriber onto the list, we like to keep most of the posts related to 'dwarfism.' This poem you sent had nothing to do w/ dwarfism, moreover, it was taking on an opinionated/persuasive stance on religion, a clear violation of the list. You should've gotten that in your confirmation when you subscribed onto here. It's fine to talk about religion when regarding dwarfism, but this - as well as snowballs, hoaxes, chain letters and email soley of political/religious nature are forbidden. So please follow the rules. Guest guest
Well said. That e-mail peom was of purely religious nature. I am not religious person and I don't like the violence in the schools.
Guest guest
{{{{{{{{Alison}}}}}}}}} Well said. Is there anything we can do to help make that load lighter today? It would be great to talk about specifics...there are always a lot of " me too's " and it could help a lot of people here who may be hesitant to bring up a subjet that is bothering them. Liz G. Guest guest
That was good Alison. One thing for sure is this group can truly identify. That is why we are here, we can all relate to each other when we can't relate to others. It helps not to feel as though you are alone with this burden. Kimmie rheumatic a poem The LoadThere is a load I now carry,Where it came from I don't know.Suddenly my life is different, Even though it may not show.Others may look at me,Saying, " I think she looks good",But in my heart and in my mindI know I'm not feeling the way I should.Sometimes crying helps,But who is there to dry my tears? What I truly need is a friendSomeone who will calm my fears. The world may see me as a freak,Or "Poor thing, she's so young".But the truth of the matter is,My life has only just begun. This weight will stay with me for life,I must learn how to be strong. And with your help and your heart,I nothing will truly be wrong.-Alison FrechetteTo unsubscribe, email: rheumatic-unsubscribeegroups
