Guest guest
To all, Had my second chemo today. Did react to this one also, but they stopped it quicker and took care of the reaction so it was not nearly as bad. Had a hard talk with the doctor, and have more hard facts. If the chemo does not work (40% chance of that), they can try others that have even less chance, but I would likely be dead within a year. If the chemo does work (60% odds, like this one better), the odds of living 5 years are 40%, 10 years are slightly over 10%. So this is what I get when I pin him down to the facts, something it is hard to do. So, I plan on the chemo working and being around for a while. But, I have to say, my life expectancy has dropped dramatically from what I expected a few years ago. Lynda
