Guest guest
Virginia - I'm glad to hear the CF test came back ok. Zantac is often used for reflux and it's really patient specific if it will work any better. My daughter used Zantac for about 3 months then switched to Pepcid oral suspension. She also took (and still takes on an as needed basis) Reglan. You'd be amazed how many peds think these children don't have a PID because their taught not to look for it in medical school. It is a very rare disease at some levels and the immunologist will be much better at sorting out symptoms and tests. He may be sensitive to some things but if there is a true deficiency then most likely he doesn't have enough of an immune system to mount an allergic response. Has he had an IgE level done yet? When do you see the immunologist again? Guest guest
he goes back to the immo dec 19. His eyes get black and his nose runs he has an occasional cough and sneeze. He occassionaly rubs his eyes. He had the blood work ran this past week but he wasn't off the IVIG but for 6 weeks so I am not sure when we get the results back it will be an accurate result. Guest guest
Hi , I don't see anything that I have saved regarding Raynaud's. There is another way to search the old posts with key words. I have never done this myself, but perhaps someone here on the chat site may be able to give instructions for it. I would suggest bringing in a copy of the information from the LDN web page, perhaps a copy of the DVD from the 2nd conference (get this through Skips or Cyndi) and take a look at Maureen's site for info to share with doctors. I will send you a copy of the LDN "welcome e-mail" where you can find Maureen's link and other info. Please keep us posted on how things go. I can start a new category of saved chats regarding Raynaud's Syndrome. My best Aletha [low dose naltrexone] Raynaud's Syndrome Hi all,A friend is very interested in starting LDN for her Raynauds. I've checked through the old posts but cant see too much information on LDN and Raynauds. Could anyone out there who is taking LDN for Raynauds give her a brief note on how it has helped and how long they have been on LDN for it.She hopes to go to her doctor soon with information from the websites but would also like information from Raynauds sufferers to show him.Any help would be extremely grateful. Thanks in advance,. Guest guest
Lynn, I was diagnosis with Lupus also they wanted me to take their meds like Plaquenil but I refused. I read in a book that water fasting cures Lupus. Right now I dont feel like doing any fasting I am taking a break but as soon as I get in with the thyroid doctor which I want to thank everyone for their prayers. I go January 22 they had a cancellation I don have to wait 5 weeks. yehhhhh. But try the water fasting and let me know if you beat me to the healing. I hope you do. Guest guest
Hi Stacie, I first noticed the symptoms when I would go walking on break with my co-worker. If my hands swung below my waist they turned a purplish blue color. So, I would just cross my arms in front of my body and it went away. Well now, anytime I put my arm down below my waist my hands turn blue and they get cold. Or, if I am cold the do the same. It doesn't necessarily hurt but I do feel there isn't blood going to them. My feet also turn purple every morning when I get up and I am in the shower. I have always thought it was because I had a bad back that I had poor circulation. But the doctor said Raynaud's syndrome. He wants to do a food allergy panel on me and a fecal stool test too. He wants to know if he can get some of the things that my body is disagreeing with (such as foods) down so that my auto-immune issues lessen. I read up on Raynaud's syndrome and although it isn't treatable, you can reduce symptoms and it is not fatal by no means. It is more of an avoidence thing. Avoid cold. I will have to avoid keeping my arms below my waist, etc. Mine comes and goes. Guest guest
Stacie, Here is one of the many sites I found about it.... http://www.medicinenet.com/raynauds_phenomenon/page2.htm What are the symptoms of Raynaud's phenomenon? Symptoms of RP depend on the severity, frequency, and duration of the blood vessel spasm. Most patients with mild disease only notice skin discoloration upon cold exposure. They may also experience mild tingling and numbness of the involved digit(s) that will disappear once the color returns to normal. When the blood vessel spasms become more sustained, the sensory nerves become irritated by the lack of oxygen and can cause pain in the involved digit(s). Rarely, poor oxygen supply to the tissue can cause the tips of the digits to ulcerate. Ulcerated digits can become infected. With continued lack of oxygen, gangrene of the digits can occur. > > > > > > Lynn, > > > > Would you mind sharing what your symptoms of Raynauds are? Guest guest
Lynn, That is not Reynaud's. Reynaud's comes from getting your hands cold and then they turn purple or white. I have had this problem. I will bet massage and even chiropractic will clear this up. Guest guest
Lynn, Thanks, let me know how your allergy testing turns out, I have often wondered if mine also had something to do with food allergies making my immune system weak. It freaks me out so bad when it happens because I also start to feel very weired when it happens maybe its just panic I dont know but I feel as if im dying when it happens. Guest guest
Lynn, Lots of us have been dx'd with a laundry list of things that gradually disappear after explant and detoxing. Please don't stress over these diagnoses until you've had time to do more healing. Stress only makes things worse! Hugs, Rogene

Guest guest
As Bev said:test is best ! Symptoms may be from Carpal Tunnel, Arthrytis or bad circulation..etc..i do not have Raynauds, but all the above, and found Far Infrared working for me the best, beside acupuncture along with other natural wonders topically. Internally i beleive KT helps.. to take my mind off the pain. Sincerely, jahjet > > Hi Hank, > I have recently began having symptoms...maybe the last six months. It seems to be worse in the cold weather and very painful. I have tried placing my hands under very warm water which is painful but seems to help with circulation. I have been drinking kombucha for about four months so I can't honestly say....it is possible it would be worse if I were not drinking it. Some people are given blood pressure medication for this to help dilate the blood vessels for better circulation. > >
Guest guest
It is my understanding that using coconut oil helps heal thyroid issues. Cold pressed, organic is the best. Nutiva on Amazon.com is a good brand. Replace butter with it. Also very good in summer smoothies whn coconut oil is clear and not a white solid chunk like in winter. Makes a tasty chicken with coconut oil rubbed on it! Hope this helps

A short cut to making meals.. a must in fridge.. peace,Jet > > > It is my understanding that using coconut oil helps heal thyroid issues. Cold pressed, organic is the best. Nutiva on Amazon.com is a good brand. Replace butter with it. Also very good in summer smoothies whn coconut oil is clear and not a white solid chunk like in winter. Makes a tasty chicken with coconut oil rubbed on it! Hope this helps >
Guest guest
Hi Jahjet, Carpal Tunnel can also be from low thyroid hormone levels... also some people say Vit B6 helps with carpal tunnel .......remember everyone, try to find and correct _the cause_ not just the symptoms of any illness. The cause may be effecting other parts of the body as well as those showing symptoms. Once the cause is corrected the symptoms usually disappear never to return. Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev > > > > Hi Hank, > > I have recently began having symptoms...maybe the last six months. > > > > >

Guest guest
Thank You !! Bev ! I had one hand corrected with surgery, do not wish to go thru another..i thought it was from overuse..given a lots of massages. My hands and feet are warm, and surprisingly good circulation../ the left hand ,i did not have surgery, occasionally falls asleep at night/ have rheumatoid arthrytis since childhood though.i will look up my blood test from july, maybe will have info..till than i increase the B vitamins, especially B6 Thank You.. i have to stay away from sugar..if there is sugar in something, the pain is almost instant, that is why i let my KT sour more..peace..jahjet > > > > > > Hi Hank, > > > I have recently began having symptoms...maybe the last six months.
