Guest guest
Jill, bless your heart. Just call and have them email you a copy of the op report and the pathology report from your surgery. Then you can read it in private, and have it for your records. Reading it in private will help you digest what you are reading before you address it with him, if he didnt. I would suspect he did remove them since your implants were so old and you are symptomatic. You do need to know tho, it is very important. God Bless YOU ! Guest guest
Jill,We have had a running discussion about him and what he thinks about removing capsules. If he told you he removed all the capsule, you should be able to rest easy that he took them out completely. He believes the entire capsules must be removed from gel implants, but doesn't thing that saline capsules necessarily need to be removed. .. Of course, if he gets in there and sees a problem he's going do what he can to fix it.Hugs,Rogene

Guest guest
Jill, Please don't cry. I know you are scared, but please try not to stress as your body can't handle that. I believe En Bloc means capsules and all. You may ask him for a copy of the surgical report for your files, I got one from Dr. Huang and it states both capsules were removed completely. That will make you feel better and it is nice to have for your personal files. Hugs, Lynn > > OK, Now I'm freaking out....Doesn't Dr. Melmed alway take out the scar > tissue? Guest guest
Jill, Did you have saline implants or silicone gel? My recommendation is for every woman who has been explanted to get a copy of the operative report from explant. Request it from your doctor. Read it. Look for the discussion of what was done with the scar tissue. It should say that it was completely excised. If it talks about taking the anterior and leaving the posterior capsule, or anything like that, then I would be concerned.
