Welcome Donna,Hopefully you've found the right place.Quite a number of our women have reported panic attacks. . . Fortunately, that wasn't one of my issues.I'll leave it to to some of the ladies to share their experiences. If you'll go to our home page, then click on Messages . . You can do a word search for "panic attacks".The good news is that most of our women report their panic attacks are few and far between, if at all after explant.Hugs and prayers,Rogene

Yes, I had anxiety from implants, never had it prior to getting implants... It feels like you are exiting the world.. So scary... or the hard to breathe and rapid heartbeat... This happened when my Saline implants were growing Mold inside of them.... I would seek getting them removed the proper way, en-bloc and drains put in..... There is lots of information on this site... It saved my life... I didn't find out until I was bed ridden and felt like death, with 34 symptoms, some of my early symptoms was memory loss, brain fog and anxiety... I am glad you found this site...

Hi Donnabeargirl,

I had my saline implants for only 8 months. I had several symptoms mysteriouly appear after I got my "safe" saline implants. One of them was panic attacks. I always had mild anxiety but it got alot worse after implants. This was not my most severe symtpom but I can tell you that since I have been explanted, I have gotten better. I have been explanted for not quite 3 months now and I see a HUGE improvement in most all my symptoms including my anxiety and panic attacks. I am sure there are some others here that can be of more help but I know first hand what implants can do to our bodies. I am slowly but surely recovering. I do not have as much anxiety as I used to or I guess I am getting back to the way I was pre-implants.

My best advice is to listen to your body and if it is telling you your implants are causing this...chances are, you are right!!!! I am proof that you do not have to have a host of symtpoms or have severe symptoms to know your implants are harming you. I know you have come to the right group to get alot of info and support.

Much Love,

Beth

Brand new here- Need some help!

Hi everyone.... this is my first post...I have saline implants that I have had for about 14 months. I have been having increased anxiety and panic attacks over the past few months. I have had anxiety issues in the past, but they've been well controlled and I was doing fine until recently. I don't have any physical side effects, just psychological ones. Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be from my saline implants?

Never miss a thing. Make your homepage.

HI there,

Whether or not you realize it, those anxiety and panic attacks ARE

physical side effects,(or physiological side effects), as your adrenal

glands get exhausted from the constant stress your body is under from

the presence of the implants. It's not psychological, as sometimes

thought--doctors will suggest that it is all in your head--but that's

not always true. The adrenal glands put out the hormones that help us

deal with stress, called cortisol. When we are under too much stress

over a long period of time, the adrenal glands begin to sputter and

give out, which leads to states of high and/or low cortisol, which can

lead to anxiety symptoms.

That's just my opinion on it, though and there could be other things

involved.

Many women on our group have suffered from anxiety attacks and panic

attacks. It can definitely be from the saline implants.

We will help you with your questions.

Patty

Hello there and welcome! :o) I had problems w/anxiety in the past

before getting implants, too. Then after having them for several

years my health went downhill and the anxiety increased. I think for

some women, the immune system reacts so strongly to the implants that

it really wreaks havoc on their bodies. That was the case with me.

I think that the implants can trigger fungal/candida issues b/c they

compromise the immune system. The candida can cause magnesium

deficiency. Then the magnesium deficiency can cause feelings of

anxiety and heart palpitations. This is the cycle that I went

through. I noticed a big decrease in anxiety and heart palps when I

got on magnesium malate. Now that my implants are out, I hope to get

even better.

I know all this info can be so overwhelming when you first begin

reading through it. For someone who's already anxious, it can really

throw you for a loop! :o) Please just try to take your time and

stay relaxed as you learn. Do things that help you to calm

down...take a bath, go for a walk, etc. Stressing over all of this

will just make you feel worse.

Take care,

April

Donna- That's great that you aren't having any other problems besides

the anxiety. Many of us have suffered debilitating physical symptoms

due to the implants.

I had a little bit of anxiety pre-implants, but started developing it

pretty bad after implants. I had a lot more anxiety, panic attacks,

mild depression, etc. while I had my implants. I've been explanted for

3 months now and have not had any anxiety or panic attacks since.

I'd say just to watch out for any other health problems to develop.

The anxiety might just be one of the first things to develop for you.

Good luck and feel free to ask as many questions as you like.

Yes ...I experienced panic attacks right after implant surgery and now that the implants and capsules

are out that went away. This is from a foreign body (implants) in you trying to detox these things that

are loaded in toxins out of your body but cant and that's when the panic attacks because your body

is stressed from these things. I have never had anxiety and panic attacks before until implant surgery.

I only had my implants in for 6 months and these systoms started right away.....the psychological

effects start first and then the physical effects are next. YOu need to get them monsters out of you

ASAP. Make sure you get the capsules out that form around the implants as well because your

body will look at these as a implant as well and hold toxins in them and stop you from getting better.

Love .................Hope this helps!!!

DeDe....I have my surgery set for March 12th......I am nervous and need

everyone's thoughts and prayers. I am anxious and scared I will hate

my deflated breasts...:( This is hard, but I know the right decision

for me.

Isn't it weird that I talked to about 6 friends, all who have saline

implants, and everyone raved about them? I am the ONLY person that I

know personally that wants them out.

Donna . . . This is one decision you'll never regret . . . Initially you may feel shocked at how you look without implants . . . but you will fluff in the months to come and look good . . . Especially if you chose a good doctor. . . The secret to success is finding a doctor who will remove them "en bloc" . . . that means removing the capsules with the implants still inside to prevent spilling contaminated fluids into your chest cavity. At the very least, all the capsule must be removed. .. Drains should be used until there is no significant drainage. . . Hugs,Rogene

Donna- There are literally hundreds of us, so don't feel alone. I know

how you're feeling, about 75% of my friends and MANY family members

(even mom and sister) have them, and I'm the only one they didn't work

for (as far as I know right now.)

You'll find lots of support here. Trust me when I say that you will

feel so much better once they are gone!

Are you going to a surgeon on the recommended list? Are you doing a

lift with your explant? There are lots of ways to make your breasts

look great after explant so don't get discouraged!

Hi Donna,

Me too. Never had anxiety before I got sick with my implant

illness. I thought I was having a heart attack, had several EKGs -

everything thing came back normal. I was told it was all in my head,

depression & anxiety and they gave me meds. After the anxiety began,

all my other symptoms started: hair loss, thyroid issues, joint

pains, muscle pains, fatigue. I went from a fun, outgoing, athletic

women to bed ridden, feeling like I was 90 years old, numb women as

my docs put me on depression meds!!

Thank the LORD I found this group!!! Since explant my anxiety is

gone! I am still working on the joint pain and such but I am happy

the anxiety is gone and I do not take any anxiety or depression

drugs.

Hi Patty,

I first found this group while trying to research my new panic

attack symptoms. I started with them back in the summer. I had 4

attacks total that each landed me in the ER. Since i found this

group i have not had one attack. Do you think that was an actual

physical issue or more of a mental one? I personally think that i

knew something was going on with my body becuase i had many other

symptoms at that point but didnt know the cause. Do you think that

these attacks just stopped becuase the girls in this grouped helped

me realize what i had to do? I still dont undertsnad panic attacks

but they are scary!

Hi Donna,

You are doing the right thing, and I am so happy for you that you are

getting those implants out. Your body will have a chance to heal now,

and it will be the best thing you could have done for yourself.

It's normal to be anxious, but just keep positive and tell yourself

positive thoughts...it is really important to stay hopeful and

encouraged through this. That is what our support group does.

It's very weird that often we are the only person in our circle of

friends who are going through this. I didn't have many implanted

friends, only one that I knew about, but she was healthy and so far has

remained fairly healthy as much as I can determine. But I think they

go through little things, like joint pain or a little fatigue here and

there and call it " age " or whatever. In truth, it can be creeping up

on them without them realizing it. For others, getting sick is like

getting hit by a truck-- it comes on so fast. That is what happened to

me.

But, regardless of what is happening with your other friends, sadly,

there are just some in the population who CANNOT tolerate implants at

all. Others tolerate them for a period of time and then everything

crashes. I hope you don't see that happen with your friends.

Best wishes on your upcoming explant! You are going to be on the road

to healing soon!
