Walmart Childrens Vitamins

I was wondering how you found out that Walmart is requiring their generic manufacturers to label their products as containing gluten if they do. Is this for all OTC medicines? Have you heard anything about Sams Club brand products as they are not the same as Great Value which is Walmart store brand? I am thrilled if this is the case!

Equate Children's Multivitamins Complete with Iron, Minerals and Calcium (60's): UPC 7003011658, Expiry 9/08, Lot #5JN0774 - clearly lists Gluten. Equate Children's Multivitamins plus Iron (60's): UPC 7003011661, Expiry 9/07, Lot #: 5LN0356 - clearly lists Gluten. BTW...I don't know if it's for all of their OTC medications...the

announcement was for their food products, as far as I know.

Another poster on another site said that she talked to the makers of

the Equate vitamins and was told that they would list gluten on the

label if it was there, but I have not spoken directly to Walmart on

this. The vitamins I posted about were ones that I personally saw the

labels for.

I have no idea if Sam's is going to follow suit, but it sure would be

nice if they do.

Personally I would doubt that any vitamins that you would find at

Walmart would be very good- I think you'd find better quality vitamins

at a health food store where someone could advise you about natural,

gluten free products. I think Walmart is great for some things, but...
