Guest guest
Hi , Every list I've seen for the diet is different. Some say brown rice is fine, others say no. The nutritionist at Mercola's said if I do brown rice or any starch like a red or sweet potato, to eat toward the end of the meal...first to fill up on proteins and also because it's easier to digest if taken in that order. As far as candida sites, I like this one and have been looking at some of the threads in the forum. Here's the list: http://wholeapproach.com/diet/WholeApproach_Food_List.pdf Here are links for tips and things like Rotation Diet and Food Allergies (for CLynn): http://wholeapproach.com/diet/ Here's the link to the forums: http://wholeapproachforums.com/eve I haven't tried the 12 cloves of garlic but Patty said she did it for several months! Guest guest
Yeh Patty it makes sense. I just choose to stay away from most foods so I can feel a little better I just feel like I am not digesting at all and taking digestive enzymes too. I am tired after eating a salad with celery ,lettuce, olive oil and flax oil and boiled egg first time today. I thought I would try the boiled egg. I just wish I knew what was going on its hard to know what you are doing with brain fog. I am trying to stay focused but it wears on you after 3 years. Guest guest
, Have you looked into the Specific Carbohydrate Diet? It's for people who are very sensitive to carbs, including rice. The author's theory is that " carbohydrates are the primary energy source for the intestinal microbes that contribute to the development of Intestinal Bowel Disease. Gottschall believes that undigested carbohydrates in particular spur the formation of acids and toxins that can injure the small intestine, destroying the very enzymes that allow for carbohydrate digestion and absorption in a kind of vicious cycle. " So, if your body is having a hard time breaking down the rice, the bad guys in your gut will go crazy and feed off of it. She therefore suggests eliminating rice and certain other carbs that are healthy for some people but not for those w/ digestion issues. http://www.ccfa.org/about/news/scd I bought her book, Breaking the Vicious Cycle, and went on this diet for about 6 months. Helped me get rid of the bloating! Guest guest
, The diet is not about eliminating for the sake of eating like a rabbit. It is a diet designed to help you find out what you are allergic to, or causing problems in your digestion. It starts out with eating only foods you KNOW for sure you don't have trouble with, but focused on one or two. For instance, if you know you can eat rice safely, start out with rice. YOU wouldn't, of course, since you are having trouble with it. But then you slowly add in one food at a time, noting your reaction each time you add a food, so you can determine if that food is a culprit in your digestive issues. You basically have to get to a baseline first, and work your way up from there. If you are only eating certain foods now, if none of them are causing you issues, then you are at your baseline. Then add in one or two that you are curious about, (if they are causing digestive issues) and go from there. Does that make sense? Guest guest
a,They are putting me back on blood thinners the evening after my surgery . . . Shouldn't be a problem. . . Just start off slow. . . . If you notice bruising, back off. If you bump yourself, get a knot that doesn't resolve quickly, see a doctor.Apply pressure to bumps if you suspect there might be a bleed. Most people don't have to worry about bleeding unless they are taking blood thinners or have a genetic clotting problem.Hugs,Rogene

Guest guest
,I think you're pushing yourself faster than your body can keep up with . . . Slow down, proceed more slowly - and keep a journal of everything you do and how you feel. It takes time . . .Think of remodeling a house . . .First the old stuff is carried out . . .then new materials are brought in . . . Even then it takes time to install the new materials. Your body has a lot of repair work to do. Don't wear it out by pushing yourself too hard. Hugs,Rogene

Guest guest
,I don't know how much you're doing . . . but it does sound like you're taking too many supplements right now. . . And . . . IF you're hypersensitive to silicone, you should eliminate anything containing silicone dioxide. Check all personal care products too. And, even if you aren't taking too many supplements, you're allowing stress to take over. . . Think of it this way . . . You have your own room to do your healing in. . . When stress comes in, it takes over the entire room and kicks 'you' out! . . . All the resources in that room you need for healing go to feed stress. It takes some serious mental gymnastics to slow down, think things over CALMLY, and decide on a course of action. You must listen carefully to your body about what is right and what is wrong for it. . . Even then, what is wrong for you today, may be OK sometime in the future. You don't need to throw things out on a wholesale basis.Silva Mind Control has some excellent tools. . . You can do an introductory course online for free. Not enough to do the job, but enough to get you started. It just takes a few minutes a day to start the program. From what I understand about you, I know you'll love it.Hugs,Rogene
