Guest guest
Hi PH, Congratulations on doing your liver flush! How did it go? I've read the same things about vegetarians not being able to recover and the need for a high protein diet. I agree that good quality protein is necessary. In hindsight, I was also concerned about the affect fasting might have had on my recovery, and whether or not it could have delayed it due to adrenal fatigue, but I also know that my healing didn't really take off until I had fasted. I had reached a plateau--I don't know if you remember me talking about it before--but after being explanted in February 1998, by July/August 1999 I was still feeling horribly poisoned. I had already been through chelation therapy, HBOT, and diet change, but was still so fatigued and so sick that I wanted to die. Out of desperation I decided to go ahead and fast again and I did it regularly for a period of months (3 day fasts mostly, but also a 10 day water only fast and a 2 week fresh-juice-only fast). After those fasting sessions, I began to see some very significant improvements. I also want to point out that when I first saw my naturopath, it was because I wanted him to supervise a fast for me. That was in August/September 1998, 7 months after my explant, and that was the first thing he did for me, as well as give me herbs and supplements. That was before we tested my heavy metals. And I can tell you that those fasts produced results! I had something coming out of my skin on my breasts and on my scalp for all of those fasts, and when I called him in concern, he said it was a good sign because toxins were moving out through every eliminative channel. SO--my feeling is that even though fasting is hard on the adrenals, it definitely produces results. In my case, I had results every time I did it. You can see a photo of the rash I had on my breasts when I fasted in our photos section. This picture was taken during one of my later fasts in 1999-2000. That was after I had plateau'd, and I decided to fast until that breast rash stopped showing up (it would show up by the 3rd day of my fast every time.) It was when I fasted and the rash stopped showing up that my healing took off. Guest guest
Hi Patty, Thanks for the advice. Well, the liver flush wasn't very productive...not sure why except that I used Wild Oats olive oil which was pretty yellow compared to the green I usually use. With the first 2 liver flushes I had tons of stones and never had to go to the bathroom until the morning. These last two times the epsom salts go right through me immediately from 6 until 10. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with me not getting any stones out? Based on your rash pic, I am definitely going to fast this week. I just want this crap out of me! emailed some great juice fasting recipes from the book Toxic Relief. Even though I can't find a doc willing to supervise this, I think I have enough support through the forum, the book you recommended, and my husband. Thanks for all your help! Guest guest
Hi Dede, I can't wait for you to get explanted too! You are in my prayers, and yes, when you are ready to detox I will share with you all that I've learned!! It's so weird...I never imagined I would ever have to detox like this. Weren't you in touch with Dr. Kolb about explant several months ago? What has she said? What do we need to be praying for specifically to get you to explant? Well, the liver flush wasn't as productive as I'd hoped...all that TERRIBLE, DISGUSTING epsom salts I had to drink...and NO stones! I've read that's typical though. Some flushes produce lots of stones and some don't. Some people go several flushes without anything and then pass hundreds of big stones the 6th flush or whatever. I plan to keep at it and do them monthly until I am well. Hang in there Dede and know that you're in my prayers for a prompt explant!! Love, PH > > PH ~ > You pose some interesting questions. Guest guest
PH, Sometimes you can do a liver flush and have a fairly light release of stones. From what I have read, one explanation could be that your other flushes have cleared out stones that were in the forefront area, (if you will), and the stones in the rear area have yet to move forward. I hope that makes sense. I had a light result on my last liver flush as well. Wow, you never had to go to the bathroom until the morning on your first flushes? I had to go to the bathroom immediately, and all night long from the very first one! My husband also did not go to the bathroom with his first doses of magnesium citrate. I can only guess that it is because 1) he is constipated or 2) he is very deficient in magnesium and it all got absorbed. I was going to tell you that you could probably get by with doing a fast on your own. There really isn't any need for a doctor's supervision unless you go too long, are too sick, or have issues with your electrolytes. The only time I needed to call my doctor was when my blood pressure dropped so low I nearly passed out. But even then, he just told me to drink more water. You'll do fine, I'm sure. Just keep us posted. Love, Patty > > > > > > Hi Patty, > > > I just did a liver flush last night and was thinking about > fasting > > this > > > week but need some advice. Guest guest
Hi , I think for everyone it's individual how soon and how much they can detox. Some women detox before explant. I didn't because I didn't know much about it. After explant I was feeling so crummy I was only concentrating on diet and gaining a little strength. After a month or two, I then started with ionic foot baths, far infrared saunas and lymphatic massage. At about 3 months I began coffee enemas and do them when I feel my body needs them. I've tried to be consistent, yet it just depends on how your body reacts. When I finally found a great doc to support me (Mercola's clinic), they felt I was detoxing way too early and needed to get my adrenals strengthened. So I backed off for a while, but I realize I feel slightly better when I detox, especially the next day or two later. And in some ways, how do you strengthen the adrenals with all these toxins in us? I'm taking adrenal supplements but I think the real path to health is getting the toxins out. Throughout the 9 months I've been explanted I also did occasional colonics at a clinic. I also make sure I drink tons of water each day. I think it's a situation where you have to develop your own plan as to what you're comfortable with and what you think your body needs...I know that's hard...it took me a while to figure out what my body needed because I felt so horrible around the clock. Slowly things are changing. Now, I'm basing my plan on what has seemed to work for the women who have recovered and then modifying it to my particular need that day. Guest guest
PH, If you're like me, I felt as though the clouds moved away and the sun came out after my first liver flush! . . . Guest guest
I actually do the coffee enema right after the liver flush, after my last dose of magnesium citrate, and after I've relaxed for a few hours. It helps to keep things moving out, you are correct. I'm glad to hear you saw some action. Guest guest
Thanks Patty. Also, if I'm fasting do you think it's still ok to do coffee enemas or is that too much detoxing at once. I realize it's usually 3 juices for every enema but just wanted to make sure that 6 days of fasting and 6 coffee enemas wouldn't be too much. I'll definitely cut back if i think I should, but just wondering it it's an option to begin with. Guest guest
I would not do the coffee enemas after the first day or two of fasting. You could, but you would want to be very careful about depleting your glutathione reserves. I would make sure you have pumped up your diet with high-glutathione foods before you start the fast. You could do one or two coffee enemas, but pay attention to how you are feeling. The reason is because fasting will deplete glutathione too, so with coffee enemas, you are getting a double whammy. You don't want to really get depleted, as glutathione is so important for detoxing. So, just keep that in mind, and between fasts, make sure you are really stocking up on those foods. I think we have a list of high glutathione foods in the files. Patty > > > > > > Hi Patty, > > > OK, well the liver flush was actually a success....tons of stones > > > several hours later. Guest guest
Hi Patty, I'm confused because I thought coffee enemas actually increased glutathione rather than depleted it? I think I'm just going to focus on the fasting this week. Also, I read with fasting I shouldn't be taking supplements. Is that really true? I feel I at least need to take my Armour and DHEA and pregnenelone, but want to know what you recommend. Thanks. Guest guest
Hi Rogene, I didn't know you did flushes too. That's so true...I can't believe the difference in brain clarity and vision after one of those! If it would just last a little longer! Makes me want to do them more often, despite the horrible, wretched taste. I've heard that some people can do them every two weeks but I'm going to stick to monthly because it just feels right for my situation. Guest guest
Dede, Your time will come!! As you've encouraged me so many times, just be patient! I wasn't able to get to this level for a while because of the severity of my symptoms with brain, eyes, dizziness. Sure I can type an email, but that's been about it until very recently. I spent most of my days in bed because the fatigue and confusion was unbearable. Anyway, you're detoxing as we speak now...naturally...we all are. And too there are so many things you can do like oil pulling, skin brushing, and maybe ionic foot baths...can you do the foot bath with your heart? We've got to get this heart taken care of so you can get to explant. That's what I am praying for!! There's going to be a huge celebration on the forum when you get to that stage! Guest guest
Hi , I've always done the liver flush Patty recommends. It's Hulda 's and the link is here: http://www.angelhealingcenter.com/LiverCleanse.html Neither of us use the orinthine. Patty substitutes the epsom salts with liquid magnesium citrate found at Walgreens or other pharmacy. I can't remember the amount she uses. I have only taken it with the epsom salts. Hey, I just had Day 1's breakfast juice...delicious!! Love, PH > > > > Hi Patty, > > OK, well the liver flush was actually a success....tons of stones > > several hours later.
