Guest guest
I have had mine 3 years this week. You'll excuse me if i don't mark the occasion anyway Im hoping that because i did not leave them in that long that i won't have too many problems, if any. I will say thought that this is the first time i have heard of shelf life. That wasn't mentioned by my PS, he must have just forgot. Anyway, Im aware that the shell contains silicone but only thanks to this group. The doctor did not offer the info that the shells were silicone but at that stage of the game even if he had i would not have put the two together because i was under the impression that only the silicone filled implants were a danger as Im sure do many other girls who are as naive as i was. I guess I always thought that the actual gel inside the implant was the dangerous part not the shell itself. > > ~ > You are welcome ! ! > Remember saline implants are really SILICONE ! ! > they are silicone implants filled with saline. Guest guest
Better yet, what does salt water do in combination with those 40 chemicals in wet heat over time. I saw something on the history channel on the history channel where salt was one of the things that broke down things as time went on, wood, rock, the works. hum...Start the year off right. Guest guest
I'm doing fine Dede . . . I found a doctor here who took a better history than I've ever had done . . . Really, really listened! . . . He was receptive to implant info too! I wish I could continue with him! My goal is to increase my clotting time so I won't be subject to clots. It's going to take some follow up when I get home. How are you doing today? . . . Your Dad? Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
You're not alone. There are alot of people who were pretty clueless about the silicone shells with saline implants. I've always wondered what people were thinking held the saline in place? I've even had medical professionals express wonderment that saline implants were made with silicone shells! Can we even guess what they might have been thinking held the saline in? Water balloons perhaps? Pigs bladders? Uh....those saline bags for IV's? God knows what else?????? LOL, Patty > > > > ~ > > You are welcome ! ! > > Remember saline implants are really SILICONE ! ! > > they are silicone implants filled with saline.
