My humble two cents is there is plenty of research going on all over the U,S. and the world in which Autism Speaks is not involved in. While I respect some of their work, I do not appreciate the salaries, the income and the fact that they announced all the community grant programs they had were being eliminated.

I would only like to ad that I never heard all the community grants were canceled, and now on another independent autism network site here in Pa, this ad appeared. I thought of all of these discussions both for and against autism speaks.... FYI Autism Speaks Announces Baker Summer Camp ProgramAutism Speaks announced the establishment of the Autism Speaks Baker Summer Camp Scholarship Program, which will provide eligible camps with funding to offer scholarships to campers with autism. Camps providing a qualified summer camp program to individuals with autism are encouraged to apply for a Camp Scholarship Fund through the Autism Speaks Baker Summer Camp Scholarship Program. Applications will be accepted from now through March 1, 2010. Eligible camps will identify qualified campers who can demonstrate financial need and offer up to $5,000 in scholarship funds.
