pleural effusion

I just spend half an hour speaking with Debbie, my son's girlfriend

and a plastic surgeon (who supervised LuFeng when she was an

intern), and her experience in the emergency room is that pleural

effusions with lung consolidation are generally a product of a

pneumonia, even one that was mild and you did not know you had.

I spend 5 days with a bad cold about 6-7 weeks ago. My ears were so

plugged I could not do the hyperbarics. I may well have had a mild

case of pneumonia and never knew it.

So, I feel a bit better, I think I can get through the weekend. They

will have to drain this and test the fluid this coming week. I am

not looking forward to that, but hear it is not too bad.

Just pray this is all it is. I need to be able to continue the

hyperbaric treatment to treat the RSD, so don't need any other

complications with my health.
