Guest guest
Great, Lynn This really sounds good. Guess who came up from Denver and visited me today? And brought ginger crackers and other things for me to try after my next chemo. And flowers. Guest guest
Lynda, She is the best!! I am pretty sure I know exactly who you are talking about. She thinks the world of you. I bet that brightened up your day. Isn't the weather wonderful Lynda? I am hoping the storm misses us tomorrow or that it is just rain. Guest guest
Lynn, She is very sweet. I was SO surprised when she called and asked if she could come and see me. I think she was shocked when she read my PET scan. I don't think she really knew the extent of my cancer. She thinks the chemo will work. So many people survive for many years these days. She knows I am aware that this buys me time, but eventually will catch up with me. They have newer drugs all the time, and there are new discoveries being made. Who knows? Guest guest
Lynda, If anybody can beat this, you can. You are right, there are new cancer drugs and research going on everyday. Keep fighting the fight alternatively, with chemo and with fatih in the Lord. If you ever need help running errands after your chemo, please let me know. Or, if you just want to go to Church. I enjoy going to new Churches and would love to take you. My evenings are typically free and I am so close to you, I would love to help. Guest guest
Hi Lynda, I'm glad to hear that you're being cared for by this holistic doctor as well, so many times the oncologists just think about the pharmaceutical aspect of cancer and not the holistic aspect. My sister has been taking medication to bring her cancer levels down so she can have stem cell replacement. She was originally going to have her treatment through a major hospital, but then she heard alot of good information about another in Boston. She went to Boston and was pleased to hear that they not only suggest these medications she's using, but they also suggested certain supplements, told her not to eat sugar, told her what type of foods to eat and what things to avoid, and they also have a facility where patients can go for Reiki, massage, yoga, etc. Thankfully her insurance will cover her treatment in Boston, even though it's 5 hours from home. You are right - there are so many people who survive for years. Nine years ago my father went to what's considered one of the best cancer hospitals in New York and they told him there was nothing they could do for him, other than put him on this clinical trial. They weren't even going to try radiation, they told him he was too far gone for it to work. He had prostate cancer and his PSA over 100 (when I think the normal PSA for a man his age is between 1 and 4) and the grade and stage of cancer were high as well. He found another doctor in New Jersey who gave him radiation and he is fine. His PSA remains at about 1, and he has no signs of cancer. Guest guest
Lynn, Right now I am working on strategies to keep the side effects from occurring, as I have found some new strategies online. I hope I don't need help, but I know the fatigue is supposed to be cumulative as well as the other side effects. Just keep praying that I can tolerate the chemo so I can get better and enjoy a longer life. If I need help desperately, I will let you know. Thanks, Lynda At 05:01 PM 3/1/2008, you wrote: >Lynda, > >If anybody can beat this, you can. You are right, there are new >cancer drugs and research going on everyday.
