Guest guest
Hi Krista, That's good news that you finally got your results back. What kind of detoxing are you doing? I usually go to the far infrared sauna at least once a week but I haven't done a foot bath in a while. Guest guest
Hey Steph- Currently I am still doing the ionic foot bath once a week, the hot sauna twice a week, skin brushing, I drink over 100 ounces of water a day and the epsom salt baths. I am taking a liver GI detox, antioxidant green powder drink, Intestamine, vitamin packet and phosphorus. The detox is slow but I am already seeing changes. How have you been feeling? ~Krista > > > > Hi Ladies- I know I've posted on this before, but I just wanted to > let > > you all know that I just got back from my ND's office and got the > > results of my environmental pollutants panel > > (http://www.usbiotek.com/Services-EnvironmentalPollutants.htm) > > If you all remember, I begin to experience debilitating symptoms > after > > one of implants ruptured last year. > > > > Well, the results are in and I tested OFF THE CHART for many > chemicals > > that are found in implants. Guest guest
Hi Ladies, Just wondering about the chemicals in the implants I believe it was krista that said she was exposed to the chemicals because of her implant rupture, my question is arent werent we exposed to all those same chemicals even if ours didnt rupture because isnt the shell itself made from these chemicals? Guest guest
Hi Stacie, Yes, we are all exposed to the chemicals regardless of a rupture. Mine didn't rupture but was found to have degraded microscopically. Dr. Kolb said they looked great to the naked eye, but when Dr. Blais analyzed them with equipment, he said the left one had degraded. My urine test indicated I was high in benzene and toluene. It doesn't change any of our treatments though by knowing...you just have to keep detoxing it all out! Guest guest
Stacie, The fact that chemicals are used in so many things gives the pro-implant people an excuse to say that it's not our implants making us sick! . . . Look at the chemicals in cosmetics - cleaning products - personal care products - household items - as well as foods! The way I see it, the implants made us sick, and the environmental chemicals are making us sicker! Guest guest
Hi PH You're taking armour aren't you? I'm only on 15 mg per day. My ND said that my thyroid is on the low side and my thyroid antiboides were 11. He said that he's not concerned with the antibodies because of the result being 11 but I wasn't sure if it really should be zero. It's so confusing! Hope you're feeling better. Guest guest
Stacie- PH is right, we are all exposed to those chemicals whether we have a rupture or not. Our implants deteriorate and degrade over time. PH and I talked today and realized that her symptoms came on very gradually, and mine came on very suddenly. She had a slow leak and had a fast (very fast!) leak! ~Krista > > > > > > Hi Ladies, > > > > Just wondering about the chemicals in the implants I believe it was > krista that said she was exposed to the chemicals because of her > implant rupture, my question is arent werent we exposed to all those > same chemicals even if ours didnt rupture because isnt the shell > itself made from these chemicals? Guest guest
Rogene- I'd like to hear what some of those people have to say as to why my levels of these chemicals are so high that it appears as though I've worked in a chemical plant my entire life! Yeah, we're exposed to these everyday and most people have a usual " small " amount of these in their bodies. However, I was in the 100th percentile of women, my age, in my area. And I can assure everyone that I do not smell paint lacquer for a living! ~Krista > > Stacie, > > The fact that chemicals are used in so many things gives the pro-implant people an excuse to say that it's not our implants making us sick! . . . Guest guest
Steph- To be honest, I'm not quite sure what the phosphorus is. My ND said it is a homeopathic remedy. Guest guest
Hi Steph, Yes I'm taking Armour. I take 60 mg per day. My antibodies were around 31 if I remember correctly. Yes, it is confusing! I think by the time I researched everything that was going on with me I was too burned out to read and understand thyroid. I rely on Patty a lot for that as she knows her stuff! Right now I'm focusing on getting my mercury out and then plan to address the hormones after that. I currently take DHEA and pregnenelone for the adrenals which I think has helped me a little. Hope you're doing ok Steph. Guest guest
Krista, That was one of the manufacturer's favorite excuses when we claimed we were sick from breast implants! If women said they had high levels of chemicals, they said it could be from other sources! . . . We'll never be able to prove their origins, because chemicals are everywhere! I'm afraid that virtually anyone tested these days would find they have high levels of chemicals! . . . Thanks to modern science. There was an article in National Geographic (I think that was the magazine) where the journalist wrote about how many chemicals he tested positive for . . . And he wasn't tested for nearly all the chemicals in existence. .. If I remember right, he was positive for at least three-quarters of those tested. I spoke to a scientist at the National Institute of Health a few years ago. He told me that the diseases our grandparents suffered from have been, by large, brought under control by modern medicine. However, very few chemicals have been tested on humans, even fewer in combination (sometimes combining two safe chemicals produces a very toxic chemical) . . . and almost none on children. He was very concerned about what is happening with the millions of tons of chemicals being dumped into the environment! Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
Krista ~ You have a toxic hazardous waste system going on there. If you paint your nails, be sure and check to be sure the polish doesnt have any tolulene in it. Many do ! Your test results are interesting, and you are right, it would be so kewl to see if others in your area that never had implants would test the same........ Have a happy weekend ! Guest guest
Rogene- Oh yeah, I totally agree that chemicals are everywhere these days and that most people would test " positive " for many of them. I was tested for over 20 chemicals and tested " positive " for each and every one of them. I think most everyone would. But, here's the thing...the test I did didn't just test you and say " oh yeah, you test positive for all of these chemicals " and leave it at that. The test is based on your age, race, the area you live in, etc. So, it's like on a percentile scale. Say if everyone in my area, my age, woman, Caucasian had this test done, everyone would most likely test positive for all 20+ chemicals. BUT, they will all show somewhat low dosages of these chemicals and fall into the " normal range. " The test has a reference range of where most everyone would fall. Sort of like with a thyroid test... " this is a normal range. " For me, even though I tested positive for all chemicals, we wouldn't worry about the ones I tested in the " normal range " for. There were 4 chemicals that I test WAY out of the normal range for. I was in the 100th percentile for women my age, in my area. I hope that is making sense, it's hard to explain without showing someone the results. Anyway, I just wanted to clear that up because I think this really needs to be looked at closer by scientists and women with breast implants. It simply cannot be healthy to have these chemicals implanted into our bodies. I think they need to do testing on women with and without breast implants that live in the same area and see if there is a difference in chemical level, I'm sure there would be. ~Krista > > Krista, > > That was one of the manufacturer's favorite excuses when we claimed we were sick from breast implants! Guest guest
Hi Ladies- I just wanted you to know that I emailed the results of my environmental pollutants panel to my regular MD, and this was the response I got: " Wow - interesting about the chemicals that were found elevated in your blood. I suspect that the high levels were due to the breast implants/leakage/rupture. Good thing you have had them removed, especially if you plan to get pregnant. Glad to hear you are feeling better. " Maybe regular MD's ARE starting to see breast implants as a problem??? Guest guest
We can only hope so! . . . I'm copying your message to some of the women at www.beautyandthebeast.org . . Maybe they'll be interested in doing something about the toxins we're collecting from breast implants, etc. Rogene Re: Environmental Pollutants Panel Hi Ladies- I just wanted you to know that I emailed the results of my environmental pollutants panel to my regular MD, and this was the response I got:"Wow - interesting about the chemicals that were found elevated in your blood. Guest guest
Krista, That's awesome. Can you remind us again of the test you took, where you had it ordered, how much it cost, if it was covered by insurance, what kind of doctor you treat with? It would be great if we can get this kind of response from MD's more often...and find a way to prove it's the implants after all! Guest guest
Hi Patty- I did the test through my Naturopath's office, but I found it online, here it the website: http://www.usbiotek.com/Services-EnvironmentalPollutants.htm I'm not sure exactly how much the cost was but I believe it was somewhere around $115.00. I did not go through my insurance because I have Kaiser for medical. So, everything I'm doing through my ND's office, I am paying cash for. My ND said absolutely no doubt the breast implants gave me this high of levels of these chemicals, she even talked to a few environmental specialists about me. Then, I emailed the results to my regular medical doctor at Kaiser, and well you saw the email below...definitely the implants. I think it would be great if we could figure out how to get some research on this. I'd really like to see women with and without implants tested, as well as women with ruptures, tested on these chemicals. I bet there would be a drastic difference.
