I was born in Dallas, raised in Garland

and now live in Austin.

I hate living in Texas !

My sister lives in Phoenix, and there you

feel tons better ! ! ! tons ! ! not only the dryer

climate, but the altitude is higher than here.

AZ rocks for arthritis ! !

Early on in this fiasco, I spent a week in the mountains of Arizona. I told my husband when we returned that I seemed to feel so much better there. Maybe it was just a co-incidence, but it sure seemed that way.

Meanwhile, wonder why no one from that area posts. I have not checked out any of the other forums, but undoubtedly there are women from these areas who have had implant related problems...

Cathie,

I do think the weather has something to do with it. I know that if

you have fungus/candida type issues, wet weather can make you feel

worse. I live in the Dallas area, too and have also felt yucky the

past 2 days! Yesterday my head felt like a vice was around it and

I'm feeling a little like that today, too. I attributed it to PMS,

but I've noticed that my symptoms are aggravated by barometric

pressure and moisture sometimes - I just don't always make the

connection.

I actually lived in AZ for 4 years! :o) I did notice some

improvement in my symptoms, although my allergies seemed to be worse

there. I also remember getting a lot of headaches when we lived

there - maybe from the altitude? We lived in the high desert. I do

think a dryer climate is helpful for people with candida, though.

But don't pack your bags yet! Texas is a great place! We really

liked AZ, but after a few years we wanted to come HOME to TX. You

just can't beat the people here. I can't tell ya how much I missed

the friendly southern accents! :o)

Hi April,

I live just outside of Philadelphia PA. it is not warm here but no

snow or rain either. i have had really bad chest pressure and heart

palpatations for the past week in a half. Worse then normal. I

actually ended up taking myself to the ER Wednesday night for chest

pains and pressure. The did an EKG, all that happy stuff and yet

found nothing. I cant undrerstand how i can feel my heart pumping

all out of whack yet each time, which has been multiple, the doctors

can never see this on the tests they run? So now my chest is

squeeezing me, i have wasted hours in the ER and feel like they are

looking at me like i have nothing better to do then waste their

time. I will be very curious to see what happens after i have these

implants removed.

The air pollution Phoenix can be some of the worst in the country . . .

It's in a valley . . . way too much traffic . . . often very little wind. On a bad day, you can't even see the mountains.

We had to cut a vacation short one year because I was literally turning ashen. We went to L.A. where the air was much cleaner!

I wouldn't live there full time for anything!

January's are usually fairly nice though.

Cathie,

I am in Las Vegas, and there are a few women here from Vegas, or who

have been here in the past. We are in a drier desert that Arizona!

I got my implants in and out in Arizona, but still had all the

horrible symptoms that go with implant illness. I did heal though.

Heat is supposed to be hard for those with lupus to take, and I know

Lynda had a hard time with it when she came out. I guess it all

depends on how much you get outside...we stay inside in summer!
