Guest guest
I've used it once. I made an almond-oatmeal soap recipe by Elaine White with it. The recipe is probably on her website. Anyway, someone had recommended to me to combine to goo (Peru Balsam) with the other eo's well in advance so that the scents could meld and to thin out the balsam. This recipe only called for a tiny bit of bitter almond so it wasn't useful. I use a stick blender to mix my batches and that really did the trick. There were no clumps or anything. The fact that I was making a mottled, grainy soap also probably helped camouflage any stray bits. The smell is really lovely though. I'd like to find some more recipes for it too. Peru Balsam? I want to try some Peru Balsam in soap, but do not know how much to use, what type of recipe it works best with etc. any advice what so ever out there for using this sticky stuff?
