Guest guest
Dear , To tell the truth I use to mix them together with water every time I'm going to wash my teeth....that is to say I always have in my bag some baking soda and a lemon...it does not need preservatives. Prego Simona Homemade Toothpaste Simona, You mentioned that you made a toothpaste of baking soda and lemon juice. Does the lemon juice spoil over time? Guest guest
PH, I'm glad you found it an improvement over commercial toothpastes, like I did! Make note of the date and see what happens at your next dental appt. In 6 months my dental hygienist said my gums looked much healthier and wanted to know what I was doing different. It was only this toothpaste....it's a keeper! It's all I use now. Patty > > Hi Patty, > > Just wanted to thank you for the toothpaste recipe. I made some last > night and love it! Guest guest
Yes, it is in " Database " under REcipes. Here it is: Toothpaste Organic coconut oil, baking soda, xylitol, essential oil drops, such as cinnamon, wintergreen, spearmint, or peppermint In a small container, place 3 Tablespoons coconut oil. Add baking soda to make into a paste. Add several teaspoons xylitol for sweetness and cavity prevention, and several drops of your chosen essential oil for flavor. Use this toothpaste daily in place of store bought toothpaste. > > > > Hi Patty, > > > > Just wanted to thank you for the toothpaste recipe. I made some last > > night and love it! Guest guest
Thanks Patty - I must have overlooked it I will try it. Do you know if I can use this on my kids also. THey are 3 and 1. Right now I use the "safe to swallow" Little Bear brand....... Seems like since this is all natural they could use it but neither of them know not to swallow yet. My oldest tried but ends up swalloing more than he spits....lol Love, Beth Re: Homemade Toothpaste Yes, it is in "Database" under REcipes. Here it is:Toothpaste Organic coconut oil, baking soda, xylitol, essential oil drops, such as cinnamon, wintergreen, spearmint, or peppermint In a small container, place 3 Tablespoons coconut oil. Guest guest
Yes, totally safe for kids and effective. Just use common sense about eating habits and brushing.
