Guest guest
Hi all, I had a food intolerance test done and have just got the results. The list of foods I have to avoid are YEAST,WHEAT,COWS MILK and the one I am most surprised about is COFFEE. I have not had coffee for years and years as I have never really liked it ?? I am surprised as I was under the impression that if I have never had that food how can I react to it , how would it show in my blood test, I GUESS I AM WORRIED I HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF. I am also borderline for KIWI,CASHEW,SESAME SEED,GLUTEN,MILLETT. Any advice on this please. Love Sue

Guest guest
Hi Dede, You made a lot of sense thanks. Well I have not had another weird episode since Saturday so that’s good. Hope all goes well with your dad and his Chemo, and you don’t get too tired out. Love Sue From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of DGRAHAMA@... Sent: 29 January 2008 11:55 Subject: intolerence Sue ~ Wow, you are sensitive to lots. I would imagine that its a good thing you dont drink coffee. You dont have to ingest it or be around it to be allergic to it. I wonder about your sensitivity to yeast, if perhaps since BI women battle the yeast/fungal problems if that isnt why you have so many symptoms of dizzy and brain fog, and feeling weird, not from things you eat with yeast, but because you have yeast /fungal growth from being implanted......... Just a thought. I will have to let the girls chime in on their thoughts to your other sensitivities, I am not that familiar with it all, you have NOT been ripped off. How are you doing, how is your heart doing? Off to chemo today, so it will be a long one. Love you ~ Dede Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year. Guest guest
That is interesting Dede, I had a curry Saturday night only Chicken but I did have a naan bread, maybe that caused my heart to race ??? Well that’s another thing I will not eat again. I guess I am going to have to watch VERY carefully what I eat. I usually only eat organic and am very careful but I guess I have to be more careful. Thanks again Love Sue From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of DGRAHAMA@... Sent: 29 January 2008 12:46 Subject: intolerence Sue ~ Thank you ! I hope you have a good day ! Glad to hear that your heart is being a good girl ! LOL.....ya know, I read an article that one way to see if you are allergic to things you eat is if your pulse goes faster after you eat..... Interesting, huh? Love Dede Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.
Guest guest
Hi Sue, I had a similar result on my food allergy test for Brewer's Yeast. Back in my really health-food-nutty-days, I used to eat brewer's yeast (for the B vitamins)by mixing it in with my wheat germ for breakfast. It was NASTY tasting, but I thought it was doing me good. It didn't last long, as I found other better tasting foods for breakfast, but I used it for at least several months. I haven't had brewer's yeast as a nutritional supplement in over 30 years, and yet it showed up on my food allergy tests. So, my thoughts are that you should take this test at face value, work with it by avoiding those foods recommended to be avoided, and see how much better you feel. You really have no choice if you want to find out the truth about this test or not. The way you feel is the only key that will prove it! Keep in mind that it takes awhile for antigens to clear out of your system, so give it at least several months, up to a year if possible. Were you told if this was an IgE or an IgG response? That would be important to know. If your allergy is an IgG allergy, you should be able to slowly reintroduce those foods after about a year and not see a reaction to them. If the response is an IgE response, it will be a permanent restriction on those foods. It's quite a list....it will be a challenge, but you can do it. We'll help you find good recipes and foods to work with. Alot of us are pursuing the gluten free diet, so you've got lots of company! Guest guest
Sue, The best way to know if the tests are right is to see how you feel without those foods. Mercola's clinic gave PH an outline for a journal keeping track of her food sensitivities . . . Maybe you'd benefit from doing that too. It can get really complicated . . . and, when you're in the middle of a reaction, it's hard to sort things out. There are a number of different types of yeast . . . Did they specify which ones you're sensitive to? . . As I see it, yeast that has been cooked into a product should have lost much of it's potency. But, maybe it's still an allergen at that point. Guest guest
Hi Rogene They gave me a journal to keep, what I eat how I feel ect. They score you on reaction to foods 1-4 my yeast I scored 3 so its pretty high. Milk and wheat were 2 ….coffee 1, the others are boarder line. I am going to give it my best shot I want to get well. I will ask about the different yeasts though when I speak on Thursday to the support Dr. Love Sue. Guest guest
Dearest Sue, I hope that you get better when you eliminate these foods; however, coffee would be hard for me. We only drink coffee in the morning, and it helps with my Asthma. I do not think that I am allergic to any foods that we eat, but meat seems to be harder for me to digest. Who did the testing, and you might have been ripped off? My friend has the same problem with her leg as I do. She went to two healing experts, and they have convinced her that they can prevent her from having surgery. The MRI shows that she has a slipped disk, and that she will need surgery. Honey, I guess my trust is gone...too many lies. We have tried to eliminate certain foods to see if it made me feel better, no luck. Stay close, sweet Sue...love Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``````````````` intolerence Hi all, I had a food intolerance test done and have just got the results. Guest guest
Sue, I am having one done too - I should get the results in about 5 more weeks. That is strange about the coffee, I will have to share my results as well.
