Guest guest
Linzlu. It all depends on your policy . . . If it doesn't cover "complications from cosmetic surgery", it's unlikely. However, quite a few insurance companies are covering explant, without replacement. . . I think they're figuring out it's cheaper in the long run to get them out than to pay to keep you sick. Best Wishes, Rogene Question regarding insurance? If I got the implants electively and now have pain would insurance cover the cost of any of the explantation? Guest guest
Ya know Rogene ~ Since the FDA, drug companies, and plastic surgeons all say implants are completely safe, then, one would argue that all this pain is from something other than the implants, and that exploratory and evacuation of contents of the breasts would be medically covered due to severe pain, and not a result of safe implants......... Guest guest
Linzlu, I have BCBS. They have an exclusion in their policy that anything that implants that are put in for cosmetic purpose are excluded from any treatment in the future. I had to pay full price. You might want to check with your insurance company, they are all different. Hugs, Lynn > > Linzlu. > > It all depends on your policy . . . Guest guest
I agree 100% . . . I just wish my insurance company saw it the way I did! What do they know that we don't?
