Guest guest
Hi everyone - I have been trying to look into the risk with all immunization shots but most of all the MMR shot. My son is 17 months old and his doctor wanted me to give him the shot when he was 12 months. I have been holding off beause of the link some believe between the MMR shot adn autism. I actually had 1 dotor tell me to wait until he was 3 then he should be fine to get it. However, as some of you know, my husband works overseas and we would like to possible join him over there. The only way to do that is for us all to be up to date on out shots. This means I will HAVE to get my youngest all his shots. My oldest son already has his. They also make us get some addition ones for where we will be going. Does anyone have any advice on this subjet? It's not so much that I am totally against vaccines, it is just that I have more concern this time around due to all the recent talk about autism and MMR. However, if he does not get it, we will not be able to be with my husband (we have already been apart for over a year). Also, I had a local ND tell me that if I chose to get the shots, let them know that they have something they can give me to give to him to help balance out the shot. I will get more info if I get him the shots but I just wondered if anyone has any idea as to what this is and what it does.
