Guest guest
I was just wondering who are some of the dr's used to remove implants? I have looked into a few on the internet Dr. Feng in OHIO and Dr. Kolb in FL ... a Dr. Melved (sp) in TX... anyone out there used any of these dr's. I'm scared of the idea of explantation but think it is something I neeed to do. Please let me know of your experiences... what did your breasts look like afterwards? Guest guest
These doctors are excellent and very skilled, and we have many women on our group who have used these doctors. Dr. Huang in Denver is also another excellent doctor that we highly recommend. All of these doctors give excellent aesthetic outcomes. There is nothing to be afraid of! If a doctor tells you that you will be deformed or depressed about your looks after explant, well you can just thank him/her for being honest about their inept skills and tell them you will look for someone else who CAN do a proper explant! Then run out of there! I used Dr. Karl Hiatt in Mesa, AZ, and my breasts look just fine after explant. I had a lift, so I do have the scars, but overall my husband has no issues with them and neither do I. Why do you think you need explant? Are you sick? Or just concerned about what the risks are long term? Guest guest
Also Dr. Huang in Denver, and Dr. Kolb is actually in Atlanta. There are pictures on our shutterfly site. I am sure one of the women will give you the exact way to get to that. Password is implants. Guest guest
Hi Patty: I am on the East Coast so was hoping to find a good explant dr. in NY, CT, NJ or MA or anywhere close so far Dr. Feng is the closest in OH. Have you heard of Dr. Ahn in NYC? I am just concerned and have started looking into explantation without new implants. I just feel that I do not want them anymore and am scared at the prospect of the explant surgery and what my breasts will look like after. My husband met me after BA and so has no idea what I looked like before except for pictures. I was a small 32B and went to McGhan textured 240 cc pumped to 270 under the muscle. Anyone with similar experience? > > These doctors are excellent and very skilled, and we have many women on > our group who have used these doctors. Guest guest
Hi Lynda: How do I access the photos on shutterfly? Guest guest
Dr. Ahn was trained by the same doc as Feng and Huang, so if she will remove them properly, I would check with her. Guest guest
I can so relate to you, Dear One. My hubby met me also after BA, when I got sick and later came to the conclusion that it was my implants making me so sick, I was also scared to have them out. He told me that my cleavage was the thing that drew me to him at first. I feared what he may think of my tiny A's. I was a nearly A before implantation, after I went to a 36C. I was happy for six years till I got extremely ill. I also had McGhan textured. I went to see Dr. Feng, she was wonderful. She explained why my implants were making me so sick. She also relates those of us with textured implants as having the same reactions as those with a silicone gel bleed, because the silicone shell textures are getting removed and carried away, causing inflammation through out the entire body. I am so happy that I went with Dr. Feng, she is an incredible surgeon. She spent extra time making sure all the infected scar tissue was removed. My boobs look exactly the same as they did before BA. My scars are in the crease and they are very thin lines. I had my explant nearly two years ago and the scars have faded and not very noticable. I did go through a "fluffing" time for about a year. my tiny boobies where very squashed at first but now they are round and perky. By the way, my hubby loves them more then my bigger fake ones. He can't keep his hands off them...lol Good luck with your search, you will be so happy once you get them out and get them out properly. Getting them out right is just as important as getting them out. danusia24 <danusia24@...> wrote: Hi Patty:I am on the East Coast so was hoping to find a good explant dr. in NY, CT, NJ or MA or anywhere close so far Dr. Feng is the closest in OH. Guest guest
I've not heard very much about Dr. Ahn, but what I did hear is that she tried to talk one of our girls into replacing and/or keeping her implants because she did not believe they were making the woman sick. So, if you do see her, be forewarned and make sure you ask very detailed questions about a proper explant! My advice would be to save yourself the grief of trying to find someone who will do what you ask and having to fight for every inch of cooperation, and just go with Dr. Feng and have it done right the first time by one of the top explanting surgeons in the country! You won't be disappointed! Guest guest
Mine was in 1990 and it was the surgeon who put it in, dumped my chest full of silicone and did not tell me. I almost died. That is why I have spent 18 years trying to help women get to doctors who will help them and not take implants out incorrectly.
