Guest guest
Rogene thanks for the nice note about my little baby Logan - well not so much of a baby anymore is he!! He is almost 7 well - first - if anyone has any questions as to whether it is safe or not to breast feed - look at the implants when you sign in to this group... the moldy yucky ones there? those are MINE the day after my operation to remove them - this is what was in my chest when I breast fed my son - still makes me sick thinking about this... disgusting!!! safe saline? I think not - they had chunks floating inside of them - Dr. Blais' in Canada tested them and found black mold and 12 other living organisms living inside of them including plantlife in one of them that was a little older as the left one had ruptured a few years before and had to be replaced which is why it looks a little clearer. Well - at first we had no idea what was wrong with him - constant infections, etc... he had tubes in his ears by 9 months as he had so many ear infections. he had also had 2 febrile seizures from high fevers by the time he was 18 months but they could find no infections nor could the reduce the fevers - he got up to over 105.4 once at the ER...it was terible. it was around then that I found out my implants were making me sick and had them removed which is when they found them full of mold. At this point a ton of his issues started to come together - they did a biopsy of one of the weird bumps he was getting on his tummy and armpits and found mold and silicone in it from the shedding of my shells - mold from the sline water. They diagnosed him w/ livedo reticularis, an immune issue and the bumps were another diagnosis I can't remember off the top of my head but it was related to mold exposure. He kept getting horrible hives outbreaks - pics are on my webpage (www.breastimplantawareness.org/shari.htm) so I started feeding him nothing but fresh veggies and fruits - no processed foods, etc. I really did not do any therapies as this is when I was going thru my surgeries and was extremely ill but he just gradually started getting better and I guess the garbage just worked it's way out of his system. I nursed him until he was 9 months so maybe this is why it took so long. I am incredibly blessed that he is so strong and healthy now - I used to sit and cry and cry for hours over making him sick... it was horifying knowing that was my fault - it almost put me over the edge and I am so lucky he is well now. Now I realize it wasn't my fault - I only breast fed him after being reassured by my PS and his pediatrician that it was completely safe... I never would have done it had I the least little doubt. Now we know better than to trust a PS for anything... Love to all Shari > > Shari, > > Thanks so much for sharing! . . . Guest guest
Hi Shari, Your son is so adorable!!! I'm so happy to hear he is doing so much better. How are you feeling these days? I remember reading your story a couple of months ago on Humanticsfoundation and I wondered how you and Logan were doing. I'm glad you checked in and let us know. Have you updated your story on Humanticsfoundation? I could not believe my eyes when I saw the picture of your implants! I had my saline implants removed Dec. 2004 after having them 7 years. I had the new cohesive gel implants put in at that time. I never did get to see what my old saline implants looked like. I will always wonder what condition they were in. I will never know!! I recently got my records from that PS as I wanted to see if he had removed the capsules etc. Part of the Operative Note stated 'Existing saline implants were removed. The capsules were incised and the pockets modified in the superior, anterior and medial borders'. Obviously.... the old capsules remained in my body when the cohesive gel implants were inserted. After that surgery I started catching every cold and virus around!!! Finally in June 2007 I started having severe symptoms and problems. I had explant Feb. 26, 2008 with Dr. Huang. I feel so grateful to have all that garbage out of my chest!! Most PS are really POS (pieces of s#$%)...................sorry about the foul language but I'm sooooooooo angry with the majority of them. You KNOW that they have to see so many gross, disgusting implants when women are in changing them for new ones. These women (like myself) will never, ever know the actual condition of their old implants because the evidence gets destroyed. I don't know how they can live with themselves!!! And their nurses will stay silent about what they see because they are probably being paid huge salaries!! God bless you and your family. Hugs~ a hi girls-need a smile? my little one's tv commercial is out - see below Hi girlsFor those who know me here know my little one Logan and the turmoil I went thru with him as a toddler with all the "silicone" issues as I breast fed him w/ salines w/ silicone shells that shed and he had all kinds of illnesses as a baby and small child ranging from constant fever, seizures, unexplained infections, mold exposure, hives, rashes, etc. It was horrible but I am so happy to say he has been incredibly healthy the last three and a half years - grown big and strong and willbe 7 in June. I am so relieved and am hoping it all worked it's way outand he will bot have anymore issues... I can only pray... I am so thankful is is normal now and so healthy. I am blessed.Anyways - for anyone who may be interested in a few smiles....As I mentioned a few weeks back, he models and such now and just filmed a commercial a few months back which is just starting to air.
