Oh, Lynda, this is very well written, because it covers just about everything in our lives. There is a message there for me, because I am not very brave.

Honey, I saw where the doctors put your port...bless your precious heart. When do you have your first Chemo treatment? We all know that chemo is no fun; however, it is not as deadly as it used to be.

We will continue to pray for you....sending love and healing...Lea and

Lea,

Chemo may start the end of this coming week. I see the doc on Wed.

morning after two more tests are done.

They give Neulasta to make your blood counts come up. I was reading

the side effects. Ouch.

I hope things settle down after they get started. I am so tired of

this. And running back and forth 120 miles. And worrying.

Lynda, honey, we will be here to help you. Please tell us about the things that are worrying you. It really helps to talk about your health problems, and we really are involved in this because you are a big part of our lives.

There must be someone who could drive you to these appointments. This seems to be too much for you at this time. When you are well, it is different, but try to find someone to do the driving until the treatments are over. I wish that we lived closer, because would be only too happy to drive you wherever you have to go.

Sending love and hope to you....Lea and

Lea,

You are sweet.

There is no one to drive me. The chemo reactions do not usually

occur immediately. If they do, I will get a motel and stay for a day

and then come home or have a friend come rescue me. There really is

no person close by who can do it.

I stayed at a friend's home about 25 miles away when I had to have

anesthesia and her husband drove me there and back, I stayed the

night before and the night of the surgery. I can do that again if I have to.

The oncologist said I was in for a couple of rough months, so I will

just have to steel myself to deal with it.

Love you,

Lynda

It is 120 miles round trip. No-one is going to help with

that. Already checked. Everyone thinks I should receive treatment

locally, and I believe I get better treatment in Boulder.

My sisters would help me also, but one is in Missouri planning a

wedding, and the other is in Hawaii.
