Guest guest
Hi a, Congrats on finalizing your explant!! You're in good hands with Dr. Huang according to what others on the forum have said. As far as the neurological symptoms...I had the same. I went to a neurologist for brain fog and numbness and fortunately everything was ruled out, specifically MS. I'm 9 months post explant and healing every day. I continue to have the numbness but it has diminished a great deal. It only occurs if I sleep on my hands and arms which sometimes I do out of habit. Your Infectious Disease doc is probably right about " We may never know for sure. " I also went to ID and had every test under the sun. All came back normal, yet there is some underlying organism that seems to have the best of me right now...my symptoms and thyroid antibodies reflect that. I know I'm on the right path in treating it naturally though. As far as the rash, it's your body's way of trying to detox whatever it needs to get out. I haven't experienced that but I know many on the forum have. They'll be able to give you a better idea of what you can do. I know that Patty fasted her rash away but that was after explant. Krista also had a rash but I believe it went away on it's own through drinking tons of water and using a steam sauna. Detox and time will take care of it. You will be so relieved to have your implants out!! Good luck. Love, PH > > Hi My Dear Friends, > > Well......I scheduled my explantation with Dr. Huang!!! Guest guest
Hi a, I think you are making a GREAT decision by going with Dr. Huang! You are correct, you only get one shot because if the capsules get left behind, you will have to pay for another surgery and that is a lot more money and another trauma to your body which sets healing back. There are many women on this board who did not have proper removal and are either still sick, or had to go back and have capsules removed because they were not getting better. Removing the capsule alone can be more than explant itself. I had to charge my surgery on a credit card. You are right, you can not put a price tag on health. My thought was, if I don't charge it and do it RIGHT now, then I could end up disabled and not able to work and be in further debt! I lost strength in my right hand a few times, where I could not write with a pen! Scared the crap out of me. I have had the tingly/fire skin sensations - it is hard to explain. Oh and the numb limb when I woke up in the morning. I also had HORRIBLE anxiety due to all this. I woke up so many nights with my heart going a million miles a minute in a sweat! I felt like I wanted to cut them out, I felt hopeless too. You are not alone! Many of my symptoms went away after explant. I still have joint and muscle aches but they come in waves and are much further apart than they were after explant. My anxiety and depression are gone. I did have the tingly skin a few weeks ago. But overall, I don't feel like I am going to die anymore. I don't feel like I will be disabled and I feel more like my old self. I was explanted 4/13/07. I did not need a lift. I had fat transfers. I am very thin though so Dr. Huang could not find enough fat to inject. I could not keep the weight on after surgery so I do think I lost a good percentage of the fat. But, I have no idea how I would look now had I not had fat transfers. My results are on Shutterfly if you want to see her work. The fat transfers hurt more than the explant, but my implants were not under the muscle. Dr. Huang will treat you so well. She will give you a low dose of valium that you can take pre-surgery if you get too anxious. I took it because my anxiety was at an all time high, it helped. If you have any questions, please let me know. I am so happy for you! This is coming so soon. Big Hugs!! Guest guest
a - First of all, congrats on getting you explant scheduled!!!! This is the best choice you an make!!!! It was the best thing I have ever done. Second, I jsut wanted to send you a little note to tell you that I had my hands, arms, feet and legs fall asleep on my alot. More so when I would sleep on them but also alot during the day for no reason. There was a period that they were just numb all the time. I have only been explanted for 2 months (today actually) and I have very little numbness left. Every now and then, if I am on the computer too long or somwthing like that, they will go numb but I have seen a huge improvement. For me, some things seem to be better if not gone already and some are still lingering. I am sure I have a long road to full recovery but it is encourgaing to see some improvement. Hang in there, get your explant and then see how things go. As I have been told, it takes time, diet and deotx to start to get better but I KNOW it is possible!!!! Much Love, Beth I'VE SCHEDULED MY EXPLANTATION!!!! :-) Hi My Dear Friends,Well......I scheduled my explantation with Dr. Huang!!! The consultation is set for Feb. 25th and explantation Feb. 26th!!! I will have to fly to Colorado and spend that week in a hotel. I had to email photos of my breasts to her office this morning so she can let me know if I need a lift or fat transfers. I don't know much about fat transfers. My concerns about fat transfers are that if I lose weight I may lose the fat in my breasts and just need more maintenance with fat transfers. I don't want anything else that I have to maintain. I'm scared about the lift!! Has anybody else had a lift done by Dr. Huang?I can tell some people think I'm nuts that I don't just go to a plastic surgeon here in Salt Lake City. I firmly feel that I only have ONE good chance to get them out CORRECTLY and I'm not going to make another bad choice!! I can't wait to get them out!!! I'll have to take out a loan to pay for this huge expense and I feel terribly guilty about it but I have no choice. I want these out and I want my health back. You cannot put a price on good health!!!I thank you so much for your recommendations regarding Dr. Huang. I just assumed everyone removed them the same way!!!! I couldn't get into the plasic surgeon who put the implants in until the end of May and that was just for the consultation. I cannot wait that long. New horrible symptoms contine to appear. It's scaring me to death!!! Feb. 25th cannot get here fast enough for me!!!!I went to the Infectious Disease doctor two days ago. He said there is absolutely something very chronic going on with me. He told me straight up that we may never know for sure. I had a chest xray (because of the persistant dry cough) and I had blood cultures done (looking for bacteria etc.) He said he only needs to see me again IF something shows up on the tests. Guest guest
a, If I lived in Utah, Dr. Huang would definitely be the doc of choice. If I lived in Cleveland, I would go to Feng, if I lived in Atlanta, I would go to Kolb. You have made a great choice, and you will LOVE Dr. Huang. Guest guest
Hi a! First of all, let me say welcome as I didn't do that yet! : ) I am very happy for you that you are scheduled now for explant and with one of our best surgeons. Dr. Huang will take good care of you! My advice on the neurologist exam is to skip it. I had the numbness and tingling too, but after explant all of my symptoms went away. So, my feeling is that it is better to just get the implants out and work on getting better, because once you get on that merry go round with the different doctors, they will want you to take drugs or do tests and you will rack up huge medical bills and create a medical file an inch thick but the bottom line is that there is nothing they can do and nothing they can give you that will change anything. Healing happens in time and with detox and correct diet. So, the only reason to see a doctor would be to put a name on a symptom and not much else. I saved thousands of dollars by deciding to give up on the doctors and just get the healing done myself. You will be able to start healing and detoxing after explant and see the slow progress of symptom resolution in a few months to a year. If, after that time you don't see the progress you want, then you may want to go to more doctors, especially naturopathic ones to get some help. But as for right now, my experience has been that going to doctors really accomplishes very little because they don't understand the illness. You'll be explanted very soon! That will be your new start! Patty > > Hi My Dear Friends, > > Well......I scheduled my explantation with Dr. Huang!!! The > consultation is set for Feb. 25th and explantation Feb. 26th!!!
