Guest guest
Tomorrow afternoon first chemo. Doxil is the name. This will be once a month for up to 10 months. Side effects can be nasty, but the worst is the hand-foot syndrome and mouth sores. These happen to almost everybody after several treatments, according to the nurse who did the tutorial on the chemo. Nausea does happen, but can be controlled. The other symptoms are generally worse than the nausea. Fatigue and weakness is almost assured for the duration of the chemo. It may get worse with each treatment. Look up doxil and side effects. The side effects are cumulative, so they will continue to worsen with each treatment. My hair will fall out. Everywhere. That is not as bad as the hand-foot syndrome. That is hard to control. I told them they would have to pry me out of my car tomorrow. They told me to take Ativan, it would help me cope. Lynda
