Guest guest
Darling Rogene: We are all so happy to see you posting. Please take care, and know that we all love you very much. We are sorry that this has happened to you. Have sweet dreams, and we will send you more love tomorrow...Lea and ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``````` Rogene Update Thanks again for all your prayers,I came home today. I'm pretty tired and feel at loose ends. I'd like to be "doing" something, but don't feel like doing much of anything. Aside from coming home, my biggest effort today was walking about a block. Until my clotting time is high enough, I must manage by exercise, garlic, aspirin and drinking a lot of water. I'll be thrilled when I can stop the pain meds and antibiotics! . . . I'm have a huge job ahead to get my gut healthy.Looking back, it's likely that I've had ear cancer for quite a few years - and that garlic was suppressing it, while, any time I ate sugar, it encouraged it. . . Something to keep in mind when you think you want a sweet treat!Hopefully I'll get the path report tomorrow. I'll be surprised if I don't need radiation! I'm just scanning messages . . . don't feel up to focusing right now.Everyone is in my thoughts and prayers though . . . God Bless,Rogene
Guest guest
Rogene, Glad you are home and I am sure you are very tired. We will hope and pray for the best, but radiation may not be the worst thing. If it stops a problem, then it will save your life. Ear cancer, funny, I had never heard of that before. Sorry you had to go through all this. Seems we have to endure more and more somehow. I know you will overcome it. Guest guest
Lynda,Ear cancer is very, very rare . .. The technical name for my cancer is temporal bone squamous cell cancer. . . There are an estimated 200 cases a year in the States. Strange thing . . . While we were in Mesa, I spoke to a woman who, when I told her I couldn't hear from the side she was sitting on, told me that she couldn't hear from one side either. That she had had cancer in her ear - Not just once but twice. . . . I felt like I was hit by lightning when she said that.To my knowledge that was the one and only time I've seen her. . . I know most of the people we dance with there quite well . . . but I don't know who she was!I think that was God's way of telling me that I'd better get help right away . . . and that I can get my life back post-cancer just like she did.Rogene Re: Rogene Update Rogene, Glad you are home and I am sure you are very tired. Guest guest
Hi Rogene, I am so glad you are up to giving us an update. You know we all love you and worry about you. Yes, you have had alot of ear trouble, haven't you? I wish this cancer could somehow have been discovered sooner. It seems so strange...I've never heard of cancer in the ear before! I am hoping and praying for a quick recovery for you. Rest up, and take it easy. Hugs, Patty > > Thanks again for all your prayers, > > I came home today. I'm pretty tired and feel at loose ends. Guest guest
Thanks Dede,I slept in bed, rather than a recliner last night! . . . Actually slept on my ear! . . .my sleeping side! Other than a bit more blood drainage, it worked fine. I'm feeling better today than yesterday. . . No path report yet. . . I think I know what that means!Hugs,Rogene
