Guest guest
Well, I've had two of the Benedictine Sisters' very low gluten altar breads now. After the first one I got sick. Perhaps it was just " barf bug " that was going around. I don't know. I had the second one today, AS COMMUNION! Hooray! (Only the second time I've had Communion since October.) So far so good. But I'll give it more time. Father kept the special altar breads in a pyx, and consecrated them at the altar. He kept the pyx on the paten. When I came in the line, he opened the pyx and gave me one. And then, I believe, closed the pyx again. That process works for me to keep the gluten away. Now, here's to hoping I don't get sick.
