Beth, answers to your juicing questions

Hi Beth,

I apologize for the lateness of this reply. I am sure you guys have

covered most of this by now! But I am trying to catch up and I

figure I'll put my two cents in.

I would leave the green food products out altogether if you get brain

fog from them. Some women do fine with the green foods, but if you

have had brain fog, most likely the green food products are going to

make it worse. PH knows this all too well, like me!

If you juice other fruits and vegetables, such as carrots, apples,

celery, spinach (I can handle a small amount of greens mixed in with

other juices, but not a whole glass of them), beets (be very careful

when you juice beets....it is so potent that it can make you throw

up), pears, etc, this is actually the BEST way to get nutrients! In

fact, juicing is what makes the Gerson therapy so effective because

you can juice way more foods and consume them than you could possibly

eat if you were eating them whole, and therefore, you actually

consume more nutrients overall.

The juices contain all of the enzymes, vitamins and minerals in the

plant food. By juicing, you are simply extracting the fibers. Fibers

actually slow down the absorption of the nutrients, which in a normal

diet is a good thing...fiber sweeps our colon and keeps it clean.

But when you are sick or need to detox, juicing will actually provide

many more nutrients in a shorter period of time because it goes right

to the bloodstream. It is the ultimate " fast food " .

So, to answer your question, " do we get enough nutrients from the

juice itself " , YES, you not only get enough, you get more than

enough! You get extra doses!
