Guest guest
I had my consultation with Dr Kolb and my surgery was scheduled for April 23. I am disappointed but I have to find another surgeon. I liked the pictures of Dr Melmed's work and the fact he can do an internal lift. I talked to him and he told me my capsules will dissolve on their own, I disagree. I am pretty sure I will fly to see Dr Feng but someone posted that they wouldn't go to her. Is she not good? Everything was arranged for me to be in Atlanta but now I'm back to square one. Help!
Guest guest
Melisa,I don't think there's a single doctor out there that someone won't criticize. The doctors you're consulting are about as good as they get. You're right about your reservations about Melmed. If your implants were silicone gel, he would be a good bet. . . I don't understand what happened to your appointment with Dr. Kolb.Hugs and prayers,Rogene

I had my surgery scheduled for April 22. I was expecting it to cost around 8,000, Her office let me know last week that the cash price will be 10,000. I cried for two days but I know this is just a little hiccup in my journey. Can anyone offer me advice on going to Ohio? > Melisa, > > I don't think there's a single doctor out there that someone won't criticize. The doctors you're consulting are about as good as they get. Guest guest
I think the most reasonable price is in Denver with Dr. Huang. Most offices will quote high to be sure they are covered, however, so don't panic Lynda At 03:38 PM 4/13/2008, you wrote: > > > >I like Dr Kolb and I trust here so much. >She has been treating me for mold and other things since my >consultation with her. Guest guest
The surgeon has to have a clear understanding why you want the capsule to be removed, or else he or she may not take out everything, just the bulk of the capsule. So you might want to start by asking him / her if he thinks whether the procedure is needed. And if he / she says it is, then ask why. You should be able to get a confident answer from him / her. Then ask how many cases of capsulectomy he / she has done, and ask about the technique, how it is done, which incision site, how long is the procedure, what type of anesthesia, and whether he / she will use drains (he / she should). The purpose of all of these questions is so that you can be sure that he / she will do the job properly.God bless on your consultation, may you find the right surgeon. From: M <richardson343@...>Subject: capsule removal Date: Saturday, May 1, 2010, 10:04 PM Hi! I'm going for a consultation on Monday with a plastic surgeon to remove my capsule that was left in march 2009 when my saline implant was taken out. I was wondering what questions to ask or any tips that any one can give me? the surgeon said the operation should take 50Min's as i have just 0NE capsule to remove. Thanks

Guest guest
Hi, I know it sounds frightening, but in my experience it is really not any more dangerous a procedure than the implantation. It may take more skill to do a proper capsulectomy, but the dangers are normal as with any other surgical procedure. You really do need to use a good surgeon, so that they will take care to remove all of the scar tissue properly. I would question your chosen surgeon by asking how many they have done. You want someone who has done hundreds. We have recommended doctors that have great skill and experience that we can direct you to. This often leads to greater peace of mind, knowing that you won't have to worry about having made a poor decision with the surgeon. When you go to someone who knows exactly how to remove the scar tissue, you can go home knowing you have had the best care possible. Ask if you still need help. We have an " explant file " that will help you with understanding the procedure and offer suggestions for questions to ask. Check it out under our files section.
