Hi All - I have tried to go back through and look at some of the old

post to find my info. Please forgive me if I post about something that

was just discussed. I can not seem to find all the info I am looking

for.

Ok, I have several cavities that need filled. I plan to get them

filled with the " safe " fillings but I also have been looking into

getting some of my old fillings replaced with the " safe " ones. The

closest dentist that is on a " mercury-free " list is about 2 hrs away

(one way). I am willing to go there if I can afford it. However, here

is my main question, could I go to a local dentist (my regular dentist)

to have the new caviaties filled with the mercury free filling, and

just go to the one that is further away to have the old ones removed

safely and replaced? Or should I try to go to the mercury-free dentist

for all of them? The reason I ask is because 1. it is far away, 2. it

is more epensive and 3. the cavities I have right now are bothering me

and need to be filled asap.

I was very pleaed with the responses I got from the dentist on the

list. They seem to use alot of precaution removing the old fillings.

They said I would be on a supplement pack for 1 week prior to the

removals, they would give me something to take right before the removal

and would keep extra oxygen on me during the whole procedure along with

some other things they do to protect themselves. I am sure it would be

better to go to him for ALL of it but I just do not think I can

financially. What would be recommended to take care of first????

Much Love,

Beth
