Guest guest
From a silent sister:Many of us have fungal issues . . . Sugar feeds fungus . . . So, we try to avoid sugar. However, the artificial sweeteners can actually be more dangerous than sugar . . . and now, they're going to mix sugar with the artificial! . . . Duh!!!!Rogene--------------------------------------------- www.chicagotribune.com/business/chi-tue-nutrasweetapr15,1,7226514.story chicagotribune.com NutraSweet product to target Sweet'N Low By Mike Hughlett Tribune reporter April 15, 2008 NutraSweet Co. is slated next month to launch its second retail artificial sweetener, a product aimed at challenging Cumberland Packing Corp.'s Sweet'N Low. Until last year, Chicago-based NutraSweet Co. manufactured just the ingredient aspartame, an artificial sweetener used in, among other things, the popular Equal brand. Equal is produced by Chicago-based Merisant Worldwide, which until last year also owned the NutraSweet brand name. But ownership was transferred to NutraSweet Co., and the aspartame manufacturer also began trying its hand in retail markets. Last year, it introduced a rival to Equal under its own NutraSweet brand: Both are packaged in blue and are made from aspartame. Next month, NutraSweet will launch a packet sweetener to challenge Sweet'N Low, and like Sweet'N Low, it will be packaged in pink. NutraSweet's pink product, unlike Sweet'N Low, will not contain saccharin but instead will be made from the artificial sweeteners known as acesulfame potassium and neotame. NutraSweet's pink packets will available in food-service channels next month and should be in retail outlets during the third quarter, said Craig Petray, the company's chief executive. Later this year NutraSweet also plans to unveil a packet sweetener aimed at challenging Splenda, the leading sweetener. Like Splenda, it will be packaged in yellow, but unlike Splenda, it will contain a small dollop of real sugar. mhughlett@... No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG.
