Theory of mind is key to the development of one's social skills. Without theory of mind, children (or adults) cannot understand or infer the thoughts, feelings, or intentions of others. A lack of theory of mind skills is considered by some to be a core deficit in autism.

Parents and teachers often take for granted how much we use our understanding of other people’s thoughts and feelings to guide our social interactions. Attend this meeting to be educated on how theory of mind may impact those with autism and what activities may help parents, teachers, and professionals focus on this area of need.
