Guest guest
Lynn, I am so sorry to hear this for you. I thought you were doing so well. I will keep you in my prayers....Lots of healing sending your way. Do you think this was caused from the breast implants ? Love In a message dated 4/8/2008 6:54:58 P.M. Guest guest
I had an ovarian cyst in 1961 shortly after I got pregnant. It was painful, but harmless. Guest guest
Lynda, Unfortunetly mine isn't a cyst so it won't go away on its own (darn it). During my last laparoscopy (06), the doctor had a choice to remove the endometrioma but decided not too because it was too big and he knew it would render that ovary useless. So he talked me in to Lupron (ERRRRR) saying it would shrink it (LIE LIE LIE). Lupron made my life a living hell and I swear, along with my implants, it induced all my autoimmune/thyroid issues. It shut down my pituitary gland for nearly 6 months. Anyhow, my ovary is useless with this huge endometrioma on it, so he should have just taken it then. Now I have to pay and go through another surgery. I am not happy about it, and sad to lose the ovary but the way I see it is the ovary was gone anyway. Guest guest
Hi Rogene, I am praying and hoping it is just an endometrioma. I have had endometriosis since I was a teen, and several surgeries. My sister just had a hysterectomy due to endometriosis and a large endometrioma that was pushing on her bladder and bowels. So far the doctors are reassuring me that it is just an endometrioma, the word cancer hasn't come up quite yet. I think it is all due to my history. If (please God no) it would be cancer, I will definetly be asking you several questions on this therapy. Right now, they said no rush for surgery. Just pray it is endometrioma. I can live without that ovary. Ovarian cancer is a big killer, I don't even want to think of that right now. Love, Lynn > > Oh Lynn, > > I'm so sorry. . . Guest guest
Oh Dede, I am so sorry! This is horrible. Please let me know how the scan goes. I will pray for you! Thank you for the site. I didn't see any of the doctors near me on the list. The nurse practitioner I see recommended two OB/GYN surgeons in her clinic. One is the one who did my sister's hysterectomy. He is a Lupron fan, so I am nixing him from my list. Even after the horror story I told my sister about Lupron, he talked her into getting it. I need to find somebody I am comfortable with. Love you, Lynn > > Hello Sweetie ~ > _http://www.doctorscorecard.com/doctors?sta=TX_ > (http://www.doctorscorecard.com/doctors?sta=TX) > This is it ! > Wow, I am sorry they have found a mass. Guest guest
Hi , How are you? I have been doing pretty good. I had my pap done and the doctor ran a CA 125 as diagnostic testing only, it came back high. But she states it can detect anything wrong with the ovaries. I had a laparscopy in 2006 for my endometriosis and at that time my doctor found a large endometrioma on my right ovary, he left it there because I haven't had kids yet (I am 35). So, I knew it was there and left - I am sure that is what is causing the elevated test. The problem is, it is growing So, I will probably have to have the ovary removed. It really isn't causing me pain but it isn't healthy either. Probably a good idea to get that out of me. I don't think it is implant related. I have had endometriosis since I was in high school and I didn't get implants until I was in my late 20's. I hope you are doing well. Hugs, Lynn > > Lynn, > > I am so sorry to hear this for you. Guest guest
Lynn,It sounds like it's endometriosis since you've had problems with it before . . .However, before you let them start cutting, request a P.E.T. scan . . . They're expensive, so they're not offered all the time. . . But insurance should pay for one if you have a mass and a high CA-125 score. Guest guest
Oh Dede,I'd say that is more than "worrisome" . . . Please use all your wits to outwit whatever is going on! Guest guest
Rogene ~ I have already started working my positive energy. I actually have had some intuition on this and been working it for awhile now, but only off and on because I have been taking care of everyone else, and just too tired. I will now concentrate alot on me now. My friend that had cancer and found out 2 weeks ago went to heaven yesterday morning. I am so glad she didnt have to suffer any more. It was already in her brain and lymph nodes. What is so sad, bless her fathers heart, his granddaughter passed with leukemia about 10 years ago, his oldest daughter passed about 2 1/2 years ago, his wife 9 months ago, and now his 2nd daughter yesterday. A very tough road for him. I hope you have a sunny day and feel good ! Love and prayers ~ DedePlanning your summer road trip? Check out AOL Travel Guides.
