Cheryl,

I'm really so sorry to hear of all of the trouble you've had from

your implants. YES, I do think that all of these issues are implant

related, starting with the capsular contracture problem and spiraling

down from there. Often capsular contracture is a sign of infection,

which in your case was evidenced by the open sores all over your

body. We have photos in on our Shutterfly site that show these open

sores that our women (and in some cases their children if they had

implants while pregnant) have experienced. I believe that some have

had them cultured and it was discovered that the source was a staph

or strep infection, or some other mycobacteria that is difficult to

treat. I'd have to go back and find their letters in our archives,

but the point is that infections are way more common than we realize.

I myself had an infection in my breasts, and I developed capsular

contracture. My photos taken before explant show boobs that look

like two grapefruits stuck on my chest. Pretty unappealing. I

had " squeaky breasts " at one point in time, and they were hot and

fevered. My health nosedived right after that.

In any case, I believe getting your implants replaced was a terrible

mistake and your body is begging you to get them out and be done with

them for good. I have to be honest and tell you that you may not get

better for many, many months....so while getting the implants out is

the very best thing you can do for yourself in my opinion, the

chances of you seeing immediate long lasting improvement are not so

high. You've been sick a long time. It's going to take a long time

to get better. But getting them out is the PRIMARY thing you can do

to move toward health at this point. Keeping them is only going to

keep things going in the same downward spiral that you've been on.

I had my implants for 9 months, but it took me 4 years to get

better. However, it was definitely the most important thing I could

have done for myself to heal...I am TOTALLY healed at this point,

with the exception of Hashimoto's autoimmune thyroid disease (but at

my last testing, there were no antibodies). Implants were the

biggest disaster of my life. Why anyone would want to keep them while

sick escapes me completely, when health is so priceless!

You CAN get better. I truly believe that because I've seen so many

women get better on this group. We've had success after success

after success of women going on to get their lives back. However, it

takes alot of effort to detox, to eat right, identify food allergies

and fungal issues and so on...paying attention to the body's need for

release of toxicity, but help it in doing so. It is going to be a

long road to healing. But it is a road you need to get on for the

sake of your kids. Don't delay. Get those implants out CORRECTLY as

soon as possible. Dr. Kolb knows how to do it. Don't settle for

anything less than the best when it comes to getting them out right.

If the implants are removed incorrectly, you may remain ill.
